Valhalla's New FutureVerb

Demo video upload by Stazma

"The lovely folks at Valhalla DSP have released a new plugin called FutureVerb.
As you know I'm a big fan and I had the honor to also be part of the beta testing crew for that one and here is a bunch of test with it (with synths and breakbeats mostly).

Oh and here are some presets I've made during the demos (those tested with Seashell).

Have fun!!!"

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

We are excited to introduce our brand new reverb/echo plugin: Valhalla FutureVerb™!

FutureVerb was designed from the ground up to give you the most transparent and realistic reverbs we’ve ever made. 8 years of research and development have gone into creating new and innovative algorithmic reverb topologies. The FutureVerb reverb modes are as close to perfect as we have ever heard.

And, since we don’t actually believe in perfection, we added a colorful and powerful Echo section that can add color and warmth, or keep things as clean as you wanna be.

With 8 original Reverb modes and 12 flexible Echo modes, FutureVerb gives you the sonic power you need to create your own future."

Acid Dub using the Knobula Echo Cinematic

video upload by knobula

"A 5 minute journey into the world of live modular synthesizers, featuring the essential Echo Cinematic module which bases its design on the dub reggae trick of connecting a tape echo into the mixing desk, passing it through the EQ and then sending it back onto itself. Its the perfect feedback loop that teeters on the brink of instability and chaos but rewards with rhythmic beats dripping with trance-like textures."

Error Instruments Introduces Das Ritual Candle Flame Synth Noise Generator

video upload by errorinstruments paul tas

"✨ The Ritual — Let the Flame Speak ✨ The Ritual is not just an instrument. It is a presence — a small, mysterious machine that invites sound, light, and spirit to merge into one living moment. At its core, The Ritual offers two elemental voices: a warm, crackling texture like burning wood, and a deep, sub-harmonic bass that vibrates through the body. Two outputs, two energies, both ready to shape the atmosphere of your space. But the true magic lies in the heart of the machine. In the center burns a candle. Three light-sensitive sensors observe the living flame — every flicker, every breath of air, every tiny movement of light. The flame becomes the conductor, shaping rhythm, modulation, and tone. It decides the pulse. It guides the sound. It becomes an oracle of vibration. With control voltage input, three intuitive potentiometers, and full compatibility with stand-alone setups, pedal chains, and Eurorack systems, The Ritual integrates effortlessly into any sonic temple you create. Add a touch of delay, let the harmonics bloom, and suddenly the sound becomes something else — psychedelic, hypnotic, deeply alive. A soundscape where chaos becomes beauty, and the smallest movement of fire transforms the entire universe of tone. Hand-crafted by Error Instruments, built in rugged Bricky format, The Ritual invites you to surrender your control and let the flame speak. Light the candle. Start The Ritual. Let the fire shape your sound"

Error Instruments Introduces Errormin Eurorack Module

Errormin Compact

• Light-Sensitive

• Noise & Oscillator

• CV Controller Errormin is an ultra-compact, light-reactive sound module that blends noise generation, analog oscillation, and control-voltage modulation. It’s designed to take minimal space in your setup while delivering unpredictable, experimental sound textures. Use it as a controller, a sound source, or both. ⸻ Outputs

• CRISP (Noise Output) A crackling, textural noise source. Highly sensitive to light and modulation. Create endless happy accidents by shaping incoming light or feeding CV into the module—expect crunchy textures, shifting timbres, and glitchy surprises.

• CV Output A flexible control-voltage output ranging from 0 to 5V. Use it to modulate other modules in your system with light-based gestures or internal motion.

• SINE Output A warm, analog sine oscillator with deep, dark low-end character. Great for bass tones, drones, or adding analog weight to your patches. ⸻ Inputs

• CRISP CV Inputs (2x) Modulate the noise engine with LFOs, sequencers, or other sources. Scan through waveforms for shifting textures, gritty edges, or glitch effects.

• SINE CV Input Control the warm analog oscillator for vibrato, pitch sequences, or evolving tones. ⸻ Overview Errormin is an active module designed for maximum experimentation in minimum space. It behaves like a controller, a sound generator, and an unpredictable partner in your patching workflow. Check out the demonstration videos and explore how many happy accidents you can create.

Absynth 6 by Native Instruments - No talking demo

video upload by ADL-MusicLab

"Hi, everyone!

Here's to you my 'No talking demo' of the stunning Absynth 6 by Native Instruments.

Absynth 6 marks the return of a legendary semi-modular synthesizer. Built for textures that transform and breathe, it invites you to shape sounds that are entirely your own. Deep enough for complex sound design, and intuitive enough for newcomers, it opens up distinctive, living sounds for cinematic cues, ambient soundscapes, and electronic productions.

Absynth has a long, storied history of surreal sound. The strange textures and dreamlike tones return with Absynth 6, the latest in this prestigious line of semi-modular synths.

This version keeps the heart of the hybrid engine you know. It combines subtractive, FM, wavetable, and granular synthesis into one flow that makes unusual sounds feel natural to create. A refreshed interface, a new waveform editor, and an intuitive visual browser make it easier than ever to craft otherworldly soundscapes.

The launch of Absynth 6 is the story of rebirth. It honors the strange beauty that defined the original, while bringing it into a new era with a new suite of tools and accessibility features.

Truly a sound-designer's dream, opening up endless creative possibilities!"

"Update 1.2 brings the long-awaited LFO support to Elastic OSC.
LFO 1 is free - additional 3 LFOs can be unlocked via In-App Purchase.

Each LFO offers:
• Frequency (0.02 – 20,000 Hz, or tempo-synced)
• Shape (Sine, Triangle, Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Pulse, Sample & Hold)
• Fade: Fade-in time after being triggered
• Phase: Define the start phase
• Sync: Run the LFO in sync with project tempo
• Trigger Modes:
• Retrigger – restarts with each new note
• One Shot – plays a single cycle when triggered
• Free – runs freely without retriggering
• Enable: Quickly compare modulation by toggling the LFO on/off

Zebra 3 Modulation Graph WIP

video upload by Urs Heckmann

"Here's a visualisation of Zebra 3 modulation graph. (This is not gonna be in the final UI, certainly not like it is now...)

So there are 24 modules (4 LFOs, 4 envs, 4 MSEGs...) which have parameters that themselves are subject to modulations. These modulations can be directly assigned modulators, e.g. triggers in the envelope, or assignments via the Mod Matrix.

Now the problem: Whatever gets modulated by something else needs to be processed after. So first the source, then the target. Cool. But sometimes modules can modulate each other, or create circular structures. Circular routings create latency, and that needs to be minimised.

In order to solve that issue we implemented and modified classic dependency graphs so that circular sections have a minimum of circularity. What you see in this video is a visualisation of such a minimised circular structure with as minimal latency as possible."
