"With only 140 units ever made, this DX1 is a pretty rare sight. Nonetheless, this real deal example is here to stay. The top of the top for Yamaha, this synth offers 32 voice polyphony or 16 with the "split" feature. It's quite fashionable in a Brazillian rosewood housing, and its polyphonic aftertouch makes it still quite modern today. Rather than using membrane buttons, the DX1 uses tact switches making it quite easy to interact with. This particular unit has had its power supply completely recapped, making it run like a top.

Although it certainly looks it, this DX1 is NOT perfect. One of the endcheeks has been repaired at some point, and some sort of solvent has been used around the pitch wheel making the paint slightly raised but still stably attached."

"Tested, working and serviced, this Waldorf Wave is a rare bird! With only 320 unit ever made, this was meant to be the flagship for Waldorf. Made to be Waldorf's flagship this big wavetable synth offers an intuitive layout especially for a digital synth. This particular wave has been upgraded to 32 voices and works great. This Wave has been upgraded to a Gotek drive, but the original drive and disks are included too.

This Wave isn't perfect. The struts on this synth are functional, but a light push on the panel will cause it to fold back in to the 'down' position."

Isobar Industries Serratus is Completely Unhinged Madness

video upload by Metamyther and Isobar Industries

"Isobar's new module Serratus features 9 comb filters and 9 mutations, which combined with deep sound sculpting parameters, provide completely unparalleled sonic exploration. Make drones, noisy blasts, and even demented choirs with this beast of a module. Required viewing for fans of the Vhikk X, Befaco Oneiroi, or noise, industrial, and dark techno of all kinds."

A matrix of resonant delay bodies and mutations. Serratus weaves nine comb algorithms against nine distortion, saturation, and mutation processes, with each intersection morphable in real time. Chaos and generative modulation treat the whole system as a living organism, while independent routing places filter, distortion, and reverb before, inside, or after the feedback loop, sculpting everything from string plucks and resonant percussion to frozen spectral drones and chaotic self-generating textures.

Behringer Grind: 64 Techno, Acid, House Patterns Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

🦠 Behringer Grind "Toxic Flux" is a collection of 64 sequences suitable for different genres like Techno, Minimal, Dark Ambient, IDM, Industrial, House, Breakbeat etc.
🧿 The soundset contains a wide range of patterns: dense, with all steps active, or sparse, having many empty steps and giving space for other instruments. Each pattern is thoroughly set with parameters such as Gate Length, Glide, and Accent.

πŸ“¦ The download link: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/grin...

🎼 There are patterns with an "even" number of steps (16, 32) and patterns with an "uneven" number (15, 21, 30), which create interesting interactions with other parts of the track through polymetry.
🎹 By default, the sequences are in the C2 Minor scale. However, you may transpose them to octaves, or you can adjust the root note in semitones using the onboard keyboard to fit any scale. Additionally, transposition during playback can be used to create progressions.

πŸ’‘ The soundset doesn't include Grind patches/timbres/front-panel settings. Patterns/sequences/melodies only.
You may find Grind patches on my website as separate products.

πŸŽ› You can use the patterns as ready-to-go material for your tracks or jams. Alternatively, you can go further by taking them as a starting point. Decorate the sequences with the features offered by Grind: play with pattern length (end point), direction, rotation (shifts the starting point back and forward), swing amount and division, tempo division if you use an external clock, momentary actions like hold, accent, ratchet, and others, reset, and, of course, you can change patterns by muting/adding steps or changing notes. Thus, a single sequence can produce many "siblings" in real time.

πŸ“ For loading the sequences onto your Grind, you must use the SynthTribe app. It’s available on the official Behringer website → Grind page → Downloads.
Before loading new sequences, make sure to back up the slots already used in your synth.
The pack consists of 64 sequences. You can send the sequences one by one if you want to load individual sequences.

Instructions:
Connect your Grind via USB.
Run the SynthTribe application.
Choose the Sequencer Page.
Select Pattern Group 1 → Pattern Section A → Pattern 1.
Click Import and select I-1-A.seq from the “Patterns” folder.
Click Store to load it into the Grind I-1-A slot.
This takes several minutes in total.

Alternatively, you can load all 64 sequences from the soundset with a single click.
Click the Merge button in the SynthTribe app and select Toxic Flux Dump File.seq.
I added drums and pads to the demos to create a musical context.
They are not included in the soundset.

"Nothing special here, just playing with cross-modulation after I finished service and troubleshoot of the unit. I like the way the different parts are interacting and the resulting sound."

"MELT analogue low-pass + band-pass filter with character...

An analogue filter module for Eurorack systems with an extensive feature set that makes MELT ideal as the final stage in a traditional synth voice: Pair it with an oscillator plus a few basic modulation sources, and you have the foundation of a complete monophonic synthesizer. MELT's low-pass and band-pass outputs can be used in parallel for a wide variety of tones, and the unique CORE TEMPERATURE control adjusts the character from mellow to truly wild.

'Modulate the modulation' using the built-in VCA in the FM1 cutoff CV path. A sequenced or stepped random CV modulating envelope depth here can add interesting dynamic motion to a bass line, for instance.
