"Having just added the @intellijel #Atlantis to my rack, I thought I would try a very minimal exploration using that as the only #synth voice along with the @MoogSynthesizers DFAM and the @malstromaudio #Mandrake kick - with some reverb for taste.
This music is available to all my Bandcamp subscribers now along with hours and hours of released and unreleased music https://www.matths.bandcamp.com
I am liking this vibe and I am going to explore more of this minima setup."

"fn_blocks by ellitone - an affordable, minimal approach to the modular synthesizer system. fn_blocks (pronounced 'function blocks') are self-contained synthesizer functionality modules that are designed to be compatible with other fn_blocks AND a wide range of external audio gear.
fn_block #01 is the first entry into a series of electronic musical devices that share a common form factor. a common size/shape allows for multiple fn_blocks to be connected together both physically and electrically. combining modules together creates a larger, more powerful, customizable musical instrument system.
fn_block #01: lofi digital 4-voice

Details on XILS-lab's The Eighty

You might remember the teaser video and announcement video.
The press release with additional details follows:
XILS-lab launches The Eighty as virtual Vangelis soundalike homage to iconic Seventies synth classic, faithful to the original and enhanced for the future
GRENOBLE, FRANCE: XILS-lab is proud to launch The Eighty — effectively acting as a virtual Vangelis soundalike homage to an iconic Seventies-vintage synth classic that the Academy Award-winning Greek musician, composer, and producer of electronic, progressive, ambient, and classical orchestral music made into his signature sound, thanks to its exceptionally complete performer expression features (such as a layered keyboard that was both velocity- and pressure-sensitive in action, albeit, unlike most keyboards of the time, that aftertouch could be applied to individual voices, and a ribbon controller allowing for polyphonic pitch- bends and glissandos), faithful to the original and enhanced for the future as the latest entry into the audio software company’s lengthening lineup of virtual instruments par excellence — as of January 14…
It is fair to say that Bladerunner — the now-classic Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi film from 1982 set in a dystopian future Los Angeles of 2019 — is, for many, inextricably linked with Vangelis’ BAFTA- and Golden Globe-nominated score, showcasing his superlative skills with that iconic Seventies-vintage synth classic that was arguably as ahead of its time as that trailblazing score to which its sound subsequently became inextricably linked in itself. Much missed, Vangelis left this mortal coil in 2022, sadly, while the relatively few remaining fully operational examples of Yamaha’s CS-80 synth — supporting true eight-voice polyphony, with two independent synthesizer layers per voice each with its own set of front panel controls, in addition to a number of hardwired preset voice settings and four parameter settings stores based on banks of subminiature potentiometers — that musically meant so much to him are highly coveted by high-flying collectors, commanding eye-watering prices extending into high five-figure territory, putting them well beyond the reach of mere musical mortals... not that many could comfortably carry one anyway as they weigh in at a back-breaking 100kg/220lbs (including built-in hard case), regardless of how deep their pockets may well be!
London Synth & Pedal Expo Returns on March 22-23, 2025
London Synth & Pedal Expo 2024 Review
video upload by Molten Music Technology
"Here's my walkthrough of the London Synth & Pedal show, along with my thoughts on why this show is important for bringing new people into the world of synths and modular."
Details on this year's upcomiing event:

The London, UK edition of the Synth & Pedal Expo will return to the "Hackney Wick riviera" on March 22-23, 2025.
Free to the public, the London Synth and Pedal Expo is an annual, strictly-in-the-headphones event featuring:
A gear expo – where musicians can try pedals and interact with builders
A pop-up market – where exhibitors can sell their products to attendees
Soldering DIY Workshops in the heated terrace by the canal
Product Clinics and Presentations (also in the terrace)
Gear giveaways and other promotions (discounts, deals, etc)
There's also a full-fledged Brasserie/Restaurant next door for those who intend to spend the entire day at the event.
---
The expo, which was attended by close to 2,000 visitors in 2024, will return to the same venue in Hackney Wick (Studio 92/94), and it's the only major event for synth lovers hosted in London. It's a unique opportunity for the huge local community of synth and pedal lovers to check out and try the latest devices by big and small builders belonging to two increasingly cross-pollinating niches.
It will also feature an educational component with workshops and clinics, and an assortment of media partners and influencers that will allow it to broaden its relevance beyond the physical constraints of a real-life event.
---
The Story behind the Expo
Launched in 2018 in Brooklyn, NY, the Synth & Pedal Expo is a dynamic and compact gear exhibition in a pop-up format, specifically tailored for the vibrant, city-based music communities shaping the most lively scenes in North America and Europe.
Unpretentious, free to the public, and pop-up in nature, this strictly in-the-headphones event was born from an NYC music blog covering local emerging bands called The Deli as a way to entertain the community of musicians it served.
After expanding to several other big North American music scenes like Los Angeles, Toronto, and Portland - the Synth & Pedal Expo launched its London show on March 18, 2023 - although it was initially scheduled for 2020.
Event Details:
When: March 22-23, 2025
Where: Studio 9294, Hackney Wick, London
Tickets: Free to the public

feature walkthrough of bib, buzzrito, and blueberry - 3x 1U modules by plinkysynth and crey emporium
video upload by
"Meet Buzzrito, a large bee presiding over 16 sawtooth oscillators, a sub oscillator, and a peaky comb-filter, all in just 12HP 1U.

Buzzy is a very simple module to use: Pitch and Gate go into the left-most jacks, and glorious, wide stereo, plinky-like buzzing comes out of the right-most jacks. The main surface is a large 2D (XY) touch plate, with 7 presets scattered across its surface. Touching at a particular point changes the sound immediately, while dragging your finger records a looping automation following your finger movement, animating the sound. The remaining two jacks, X and Y, allow voltage control over this 2D morphing between presets. From simple triangle-tones in the bottom left, to rasping comb filtered super-saws at top right, Buzzy is a characterful oscillator in a small package."
