Erae Sound Tutorial #1 — Getting Started

video upload by embodme

"Erae Sound is our MPE software synthesizer designed specifically for Erae 2. Each preset combines a sound and a dedicated layout, sent directly to your Erae and ready to play.

This first tutorial gives you a complete overview of the instrument and covers the essential concepts you need to start using Erae Sound: the two sound generators, oscillator and filter routing, the FX section, the modulation matrix, editing shortcuts, and the connection between instruments, layouts and projects in Erae Lab.

You’ll also learn how to assign gestures and modulation sources to parameters, cross-modulate envelopes and LFOs, import generators or FX from other presets, edit a layout and save it with an instrument, and use Sync to recall instruments directly from your Erae.

A practical starting point for Erae Sound owners who want to understand the workflow and begin creating their own playable instruments."

Stylophone DS-2 // Misuse is the best use!

video upload by Dexba

"A drone synthesizer, so what? I made a kick drum with it! And used the LFO as a pitch sequencer too!
The truth is, I simply love to challenge the name and intended purpose of an instrument: if they tell me it's for ambient, I'm going techno; if it's the ultimate experimental machine, I'm going to make cheesy pop chords, and so on.
It's liberating, and like a puzzle to solve, that greatly expands my knowledge of the machine in the process: before you can (properly) misuse something, you have to understand its workings really well!
BUT you can only do this if the quality of the instrument provides you with enough latitude, and the DS-2 does that. The oscillators sound good, the filters sound good, the delay sounds great, the reverb is MORE than "more than" enough.
So... the instrument is ready to take you wherever you want to go!
I hope you'll enjoy this video, full demo & review coming next week 🧡"

ESP32-S3 Synth project - Sound Demo

video upload by Bad Dog Designs

"This clip shows some of the range of sounds the synth produces. The Architecture is natively stereo, so put your headphones on!

I've added patch recall and storage via SD card, and got the arpeggiator running, so some of the sounds in the clip are just the arpeggiator, and I then adjust gate length / release / frequency etc.

Got a couple of little bugs to work on, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's progressed to date! Hope you enjoy the sounds :)"

Toccata D'Atrium (Late night Whimsical Raps Atrium study)

video upload by -CALC-

"A late night study of Atrium reveals this thing can be an orchestra.
Here is a flashy Toccata-like piece.
It was recorded late at night with no real lighting so I went creative with the grainy look... its not ideal but has more style than without it.

I am constantly surprised and delighted at how such a seemingly small instrument can do so much. One thing that impresses me (perhaps the most) is that musical structure is inherently pulled from the patches. The combination of all the controls and mechanisms weave around motifs and development of them making the final output a coherent and thematic composition. I dont think I've ever come across this as much in any electronic instrument or even group of instruments before.

Atrium is WONDERFUL."
