E-mu mp7 midi synth/sequencer w/ techno rom

via this auction

via the seller/listing: "This is an E-MU mp-7 command station body I bought as a spare and installed the xtreme lead XL-1 rom in. There is no mp-7 rom inside, just the xl rom. I upgraded the OS so that it would refresh the preset list and stop looking for the mp rom so by default it goes into user patches which rocks! I tested out the unit - everything functions fine with the exception of the very first pad on the left not triggering anything and the bent bnc light socket, also though it really has no bearing whatsoever on the functionality of the unit, some leds are pushed into the case above the track mutes (they still light up, though). over 1,000 presets! 6 analog outs! SPDIF digital stereo out! Dual fx processors! an insane amount of modular synth-like internal routing!

I actually prefer the xl rom to the stock mp-7 sounds (too many ooh baby vocal samples and corny one shot stuff) as the xl rom has much more imho usable raw waves and the hits are mostly cool synth chords and stuff as opposed to cheezy 90s rap samples (just get a sampler!).

The midi sequencer in this thing is amazing! 2 midi outs, midi in and 32 channels internal , external, or both! Realtime , Grid and Step sequencing (switchable in realtime without having to stop the pattern from playing) if you have a hardware sampler or any midi synths , this thing is a great , well..command station for all your gear. The midi timing is rock solid . Just the sequencer itself makes this a great deal, but once you factor in the famous z-plane filters, all those realtime (midi transmitting) controllers all over this thing and the ability to stack up to four layers with a ton of individually controllable parameters per layer, you start to realize just why they stopped pushing "grooveboxes" years ago-compared to this thing, everything else is a toy! Not some plastic plaything , its made out of steel and in the USA! There is space inside the unit for three more roms!"

Beat707 Song Mode (short song)

YouTube Uploaded by beat707videos on Apr 12, 2011

Here's a quick song I made in a few minutes, sorry its short and not superb, but still a great demonstration.

At the end I show how easy is to edit a pattern while in song mode: hit record, edit the pattern, hit left+right to go back to song mode where you left.

EML Electronic Music Laboratories Synthesizer Primer

via this auction

"This is "The Synthesizer Primer: A little booklet essentially void of company propaganda," by EML, the company that brought you such hits as the Electrocomp series, the 400/401 sequencer and other gems. It contains 16 enriching pages of explanations, illustrations and block diagrams about oscillators, ring modulators, filters, envelope generators and samplers (which are really sample-and-hold modules). There is no publication date, but I'm guessing early-1970's. Printed on thick, textured green paper with two high-quality staples in the spine, this collectable treasure is a must for any swinging electronic music enthusiast."

Wersi model Pagasus Expander

via this auction

"This was removed from the Yamaha organ that it was hooked up to and is in excellent working condition. This comes with all the connectors that are needed to connect it to the organ. This uses floppy discs and there are extras in the folder that will come with this unit. The folder says that it has the instructions for the Pagasus, but I think they may be for the organ. The owner stated that this was a VERY expensive piece of equipment when it was purchased aprox 10 years ago."

SYNARE DRUM SEQUENCER with Original Box

via this auction
"100% mint, never used, still in original box complete! I bought out a music store that closed. You will never find one like this! For use with Synare 3 electronic drums, the new Synare 3 sequencer is capable of memorizing from one to four, 32-note sequences of up to 10-seconds duration each. 1 These sequences are played directly on your Synare 3 by hand. stick, or mallet. The system memorizes the intervals between notes, the rhythm, the dynamics of each hit, and which of up to four Synare 3 drums was hit. On playback, these sequences can be combined and a variable tempo may be selected.
The Synare 3 drum and sequencer combination forms a truly polyphonic system: Any drum can be played while the sequencer is in use. This allows over-dubbing the sequence and adding accents or polyrhythms on stage.

Wurlitzer Swingin' Rhythm Drum Machine (retro analog)

via this auction
"vintage drum machine by Wurlitzer. It's the kind of sound you'd expect from old tube organs. This is a solid-state, pre-digital rhythm machine. It has push-pull knobs on the face for turning the unit off and on. The orange lights still glow and every preset is tested and working. There are five sound banks and five instruments. The knobs are momentary levers that you hold down to get a temporary sound from. If you release them they return to the original position and go silent. You can hear demos of this model on YouTube. You'll need an RCA to 1/4" convertor to run it with effects or a reverb unit. "

Livewire - Dalek Modulator Cybernetic Voicebox

via Big City Musik on eBay
"Kaled technology: adapted schematics from the Dalek Cybernetic Voicebox.

The first module in the Alien Modulator series, the Dalek Modulator contains 2 linear cross-modulating VCOs and a ring modulator in one module.

The ring modulator's carrier and modulator inputs are normalized to the internal VCOs, but either or both can be replaced with any external signal. VCOs feature internal cross-modulation, horizontal symmetry control, sine and square wave outputs and can be used independently of the ring modulator.

"An angry cat inside a module!" - Alessandro Cortini - NIN, Modwheelmood

Specifications:
Inputs: CV modulation of frequency with attenuation, carrier signal input, modulator signal input.
Outputs: Carrier VCO output, modulator VCO output, ring modulated signal output.
Controls: Carrier & modulator VCO controls for frequency, horizontal symmetry, hi/lo speed selection, waveform selection and CV modulation attenuation. Each external input has selectors for AC/DC coupling. Modulation can obey or destroy!
Space Usage: 14 HP/TE"

MFB Seq-02 Sequencer

via this auction
See the seller's other items for more modules.
"mfb’s new step-sequencer seq-02 is the perfect companion to our synthesizer- and drum-module range. seq-02 is specialized in rhythm- and sequence programming.

seq-02 can be used as a sequencer with 6 cv- and 6 gate-outputs. alternatively, it may also be used with either 12 cv- or 12 gate-/trigger-outputs.

seq-02 allows creating 16 sequences with up to 32 steps each. the sequences can be stored and offer 6 or 12 tracks. in addition, an a- and b-part allows building 2-bar-sequences using the a/b-switch.

use trigger impulses at inputs “sequence +“ and “sequence –“ to switch to adjacent sequences.

start/stop and tempo (clock) can be either controlled directly at the module or remote-controlled through external signals. of course, seq-02’s start/stop and clock can act as a master for other sequencers. the reset-input allows switching the current sequence back to step 1.

beyond using seq-02 to trigger drums and envelopes, there are countless options for trigger-impulses in a modular environment. these may be used for sample&hold, switches, clock-dividers/sequencers or logic-modules. this allows to create rhythmic events, where usually a straight clock would be used for triggering, e.g. in s&h- or clock-dividing-modules. thanks to the big number of cv- and trigger-tracks, seq-02 will always allow for some extra assignments beside the drum-groove.

the module has a width of 100 mm (20 te)."
