Vinyl Drum Machine Collection

video upload by GoldbabySamples

"Vinyl Drum Machine Collection. Available now: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/vdmc.html 16 drum machines cut to vinyl and played back on multiple record players."

"The inherent charm of vinyl has consistently enriched my sampling technique. Vinyl adds warmth, depth, and character to audio.

I meticulously recorded 16 drum machines for this pack - sending them to renowned record-cutting studios, DubStudios, and Analog Cuts. Back in the Goldbaby studio, the resulting Acetates and Dub Plates were played back on an audiophile deck (Project), vintage decks (Technics and Pye), and even a portable deck (Vestax). Tastefully recorded through high-end studio hardware and carefully edited into one-hit drum samples, these are some seriously good drums with loads of character and made with love!

This pack also includes a selection of drum samples recorded on a lo-fi Japanese plastic toy vinyl recorder (Gakken). Some very useful vinyl synth oscillators (Triangle, Saw and Square). Lastly, a folder full of vinyl noise and vinyl click samples.

Drum Machines: Syntakt, Uno Drum, TR808, TR909, TR606, TR505, TR626, LM-1, Linn Drum, Drumulator, SP12, MicroTonic, MBase01, Ritmo 12, DR110, CR78.

This is an upgrade of my old Vinyl Drum Machines pack. Most of the drums have been re-tuned and re-mastered. I also added more drum machines and more samples! **Those who own the old Vinyl Drum Machine pack are entitled to a 60% discount. Contact me with your proof of purchase via the contact page to get the discount."

Buchla Easel Command 208C - In the Loop

video upload by TheTrackdriver

"Playing with the looper on the Strymon Volante delay pedal. I'm using the Akai LPD8 as a keyboard which is connected to the Buchla Easel Command 208C. The Easel and the Gakken Toy Record Maker go into a Behringer Xenyx 1002FX mixer which main output goes through the Volante. The audio chain ends with the Strymon Nightsky pedal. I had recorded a sustained chord from a Waldorf Blofeld onto the vinyl before this session."

An attempt to compose with this instrument that only produces a Japanese sound no matter where you touch it"

I didn't realize GAKKEN went that far back. See the Gakken and SUIKO labels below for more. Not sure if that's a SUIKO in the first video above, but it looks like one.

Goldbaby end of year free packs

GoldbabySamples

"I have made 2 free packs as an early 2020 Christmas present!

The first is called Toy Record Sounds. It was created using a toy record maker manufactured by a Japanese toy company called Gakken. Designed by Yuri Suzuki, it makes small plastic records. Very, very Lofi and super fun.

There are two versions:

One contains patches for Ableton Live, Kontakt, Battery, Logic Pro and Geist. You can download it from here: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/freestuff....

The other one is for Maschine and can be downloaded here: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/maschine.html

The second free pack is called ND2 VS Plasma Kicks.
This pack was created using two of my favourite recent purchases, the Plasma Pedal and the Nord Drum 2. A marriage made in heaven/hell...

Download it from here: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/freestuff...."

Hatsune Miku, Gakken Pocket Miku

Published on Nov 25, 2016 ISOTROPOSPHERE

"CGI / Virtual character, idol sensation Hatsune Miku (developed by Crypton Future Media) coupled with Yamaha's NSX-1 sound chip technology (eVocaloid) were paired together in Gakken Education Publishing Company's Pocket Miku product.

About the same size as a Stylophone and similair useage with a wired stylus for the keyboard section. The Pocket Miku is a formant synthesizer used for vocal creations. Cool options and capabilities for the cost of the unit.

This is my first use in a light jam video with minimal use before this video in experimenting and getting used to the functions of the device.

In the video i have locked a 2 second loop in the Clouds module from Mutable instruments and this is being modulated by an lfo for the position cv and is in trigger mode being fed from the End of Cycle clock on a Make Noise Phonogene module. The Phonogene is also providing a drum sound to the 4MS Noise swash module which is the grungy sound heard here. Phonogene timing and speed is being messed with by a cv coming from a Flame knob recorder V1.

Live Pocket Miku track is being run through a developmental delay module from Synthrotek and is the only effect on the Miku in the video.

Please comment if you enjoyed this and want to see more of her.

Enjoy......."
