Hanging out in Mr. Tuna's Studio

Published on Mar 14, 2020 Machiwoomiapoo

Three videos in the playlist. The first has left channel audio only. The 2nd and 3rd are both L & R.

"I went to Mr. Tuna's studio today to check out his layout. It was really nice to get to know him and his set up and how he uses it. I am simply amazed at all the gear that he was able to hook up and use at the same time. I always enjoy his live jam sessions."

"The Race" with Nina, Mia, and Roland Synthesizers

Published on Oct 1, 2017 Machiwoomiapoo

"'The Race' with Nina, Mia, Machi, and Sam
This song is a collaboration between my entire family. First I programmed the TR-808 drum pattern. Next I programmed the Juno 106 Bass Line via the Fantom G8 which is plugged into the MSQ-700 via MIDI. On MINI channel 2, I programmed the Juno 60 Arp pattern. Then I recorded the lead parts with the Jupiter 8 in Dual Mode on patch 12. The Jupiter 8 is plugged into the Eventide Space for some extra "Blackhole" feel. Next I had Nina sing into the VT-3. She wrote all the lyrics! I helped her with some of the melody parts. Mia, via the Wampa, played the flute part at the end of the tune. Machi played Ms. Powers. Mia and Nina played the runners. And I played the coach. It was nice to get out into the sun on this beautiful Sunday afternoon at the track. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe, share, and leave feedback. I love to hear from you. Nina will be posting this to her YouTube channel as well: awesomenina360

Please go check it out there and subscribe to her channel which has some cute Animal Jam stories and game strategies. :) Take care and have a wonderful week! Sam from machiwoomiapoo."

"'Beat' with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, Jupiter 8, and TR-808
In this tune I started with the TR-808 drum pattern first. Then I sequenced up the BASS with the Juno 106 via the MSQ-700. Next, I sequenced up the PLUCK sound with the Juno 60. Finally, I used the Jupiter 8 on patch 12 & 28 for the SOLO and 37 & 37 for the Strings. Thanks for watching. Please share, subscribe, and leave feedback. I love to hear from all of you. Take care, Sam."

"Climbing" with Yamaha TX-816

Published on Jan 10, 2019 Machiwoomiapoo

"I love the layering capabilities of 8 DX7 synthesizers at the same time. The TX-816 is an amazing vintage synthesizer. I manage to record 8 patches at the same time with the Zoom R24 then I mixed, added effects, and mastered it with Reaper. It's my first time to use a DAW. It sure was nice to add individual effects to each patch. Please subscribe, share, and leave feedback. Please help me make it to 1,000 subscribers! I'm SO close. Thanks for all your support. Take care, Sam."

Kiwi Patch Editor controlling the Roland MKS-80.

Published on Mar 21, 2020 Machiwoomiapoo

"Today I figured out how to use the kiwi patch Editor to control the Roland mks-80. It has the power to control multiple synthesizers at one time. This might be a great alternative to buying all those controllers that only control one synthesizer. Please let me know your opinions and thoughts on this Editor. Take care, Sam."

"Set" with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, TR-8S, and Korg Prologue

Published on Jun 6, 2018 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Set' with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, TR-8S, MSQ-700, MX-1, and Korg Prologue
This was a fun little ditty to create. I programmed all the drum patterns and variations into the Roland TR-8S. After that I programmed a sequence into the Roland Juno 106 for the BASS line and the Juno 60 for the Arp line. I used the MX-1 to add some variation via the scatter function. For the solo I explored some Korg Prologue presets and found 21 and 16 to be great for the tune. Thanks for listening. I appreciate it. Take care and have a wonderful summer! :) Sam."

"Swirl" with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, and Jupiter 8

Machiwoomiapoo

""Swirl" with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, and Jupiter 8
Today I received notice that my Jupiter X is finally being shipped after waiting since February when I ordered it! I instantly got in the mood to play these old synthesizers. I used a lot of pedal magic like the TC Electronics T2, Eventide Space, and more reverb. Thanks for stopping by and listening. I always appreciate all your feedback. Take care and have a wonderful weekend, Sam."

"Boutique Orchestra" with Roland A-01, JP-08, JU-06, JX-03, TB-03, SH-01a, TR-09, D-05, and SE-02

Published on Oct 24, 2017 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Boutique Orchestra' with Roland A-01, JP-08, JU-06, JX-03, TB-03, SH-01a, TR-09, D-05, and SE-02
I went to the Woodland Park Zoo with Mia, Nina, and Machi back in February. That's the video in the middle. I used the TR-09 for the beat and the TB-03 for the BASS line. I had the SH-101a double a BASS like part. I used the JU-06 for some sweet swells. The JX-03 supplied that JET sound. The A-01 supplied the simple square wave part. The JP-08 did the bell part. The D-05 provided the Staccato Heaven sound. Finally, the SE-02 played the melody. Unfortunately, the TR-08 and System 8 didn't get a part in this tune. I guess I'll have to play them another time. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe, share, and leave feedback. I love hearing from all of you. Take care, Sam."

"Six" with Roland Jupiter 6

Published on Dec 10, 2017 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Six' with Roland Jupiter 6
Thanks to Nick's Sonic State video I wanted to record a tune with just the Jupiter 6 and no effects. First I used the arpeggio feature for the BASS line. Next I added some strings swells. Then I added another set of arpeggios on top. Finally, I recorded the solo line. The footage is from our trip last summer. Thanks for watching. Please leave feedback, share, and subscribe. Take care and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Sam."

Super Jupiter MKS-80 + MPG-80 Sound Demo: Sounds From Scratch

MR TUNA Music

"Here's a quick demo showing off sounds from vintage Roland MKS-80 Rev4 Super Jupiter.
I Made this video when I was selling my MKS-80 to fellow synth-lover @Machiwoomiapoo
Other than that terrible and repetitive sequence I made, I think she sounds super sweet.
TR-808 has some light back beats in there somewhere."

"Echo" with Roland Jupiter 8, Jupiter 6, Juno 60, Juno 106, and MSQ-700

Published on Oct 17, 2017 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Echo' with Roland Jupiter 8, Jupiter 6, Juno 60, Juno 106, and MSQ-700

I was playing with the Jupiter 6 and the TC Electronics Flashback pedal on the Ping setting and I discovered this rhythmic idea. Then I added the Juno 60 with an arp style patch which was plugged into the TC Electronics Alter Ego x4 on the Copycat setting (later the Rev setting) and then plugged into the TC Electronics T2 pedal on the VII setting. Next I used the Juno 106 with some serious release going through the vintage Roland DEP-5 on setting 31 for a little Echo effect. Finally, I plugged the Jupiter 8 through the Eventide Timefactor on the "Lost" setting and the Eventide Space on the "Blackhole" setting. I used the Juno 106 and Jupiter 8 for the solos. I wanted to experiment with the "Echo" settings on the pedals. What do you think? Thanks for watching! Please subscribe, share, leave feedback, and let me know about your music as well! I enjoy listening to everybody else's music on YouTube too. Keep up the great work. You are all very inspirational. Take care, Sam."

"Jam" with Roland JD-XA and TR-808

Published on Nov 9, 2017 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Jam' with Roland JD-XA and TR-808
Here's my first tune with the JD-XA. I'm very surprised at the variety of sounds in it. I pre-programmed the TR-808 and the BASS line with the MSQ-700. Then I played the 'aJuno; (Kebu) patch for the pluck type sound. Next I added the 'Massive Pads' patch for the chords. Finally I used the 'Pomoma' patch for the lead. Thanks for listening."

"Eighty" with Roland MKS-80, MPG-80, MSQ-700, and Fantom G8

Published on Mar 18, 2020 Machiwoomiapoo

"Today I spent some time with the Roland MKS-80. First I programmed a BASS line into the MSQ-700. I used the MPG-80 to control the tone of the BASS line. Then I used the Fantom G8 to play the STRING harmony, HORNS, and SYNC LEAD. I added some delay on the right channel with the BOSS DW-2w Waza Delay Pedal and some chorus on the left channel with the BOSS CE-2 Chorus Pedal. Thanks for watching! Please stay safe out there. Take care, Sam."

"Ponder" with Roland Jupiter 6, Juno 106, and Juno 60

Published on Jan 6, 2019 Machiwoomiapoo

"'Ponder' with Roland Jupiter 6, Juno 106, and Juno 60
Pondering what to do this Sunday, I decided to record a tune for you all to enjoy. I really wanted to hear the Jupiter 6 Arpeggiator playing the famous I-IV-vi-V pattern. I used it in my tune "Wonder" and truly enjoy it, so I figured I'd recycle and create a variation. The Jupiter 6 is going through TC Electronics Flashback and Hall of Fame. The Juno 106 is happily on patch 12 adding that glorious BASS to the tune while going through the Boss RV-6 and DD-7. The Juno 60 is plucking away on patch 26 while going through the TC Electronics Alter Ego x4. I let the T2 have a break from this tune. Thanks for watching!"
