"The last great analog polysynth. The Oberheim Matrix-12 was a masterpiece of sound and engineering, and the Arturia Matrix-12 V is the only plug-in emulating this landmark instrument.

A bank of 30 patches drawing inspiration from synthesizer sounds found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s. The goal was to highlight the beautiful and unique sound of this instrument. I've always loved the tone of this plug-in - it has it's own sonic character while still sounding like an Oberheim, and it's unlike anything that came before or after it.

Recorded completely dry with no external effects or processing.

That's one voice board of the OB-X. Interesting concept that could be applied to other synth voice boards. Definitely want to keep a soft brush duster around, or a clear decksaver type cover might work. It would be kind of cool to know/imagine the electricy flowing through the components while playing.

"A bank of 50 patches for the ASM Hydrasynth drawing inspiration from synthesizer sounds found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s. The goal was to squeeze as much analog juice out of this synth as possible, primarily working within the constraints of synthesizers of that era. Making these patches took quite some work, but I didn't want to stop until the sounds really embodied the tone and feel of vintage synths.

These patches are made for instant inspiration. I spent a lot of time creating these so you can just turn on the synth and get to work. They sound great on their own, or you can use them as a starting point to tweak for any scenario.

The goal was to highlight the raw analog tone and organic behavior of this instrument, primarily working within the constraints of the original ARP Odyssey, adding polyphony where it enhanced the patch. It would be wrong to view this as another basic vintage mono synth - this instrument has a feature set that can create unique and beautiful tones. With the updated enhancements and options like the 3 historic filter revisions, the possibilities are vast and the tone is excellent.

What I love about this instrument is that it gets you to think in a different way and come up with different ideas. It doesn't respond to your playing like a typical poly synth would, and programming it requires different approaches, so you end up thinking outside the box and building fresh ideas.

"Patches for an excellent sounding instrument. Drawing from the earliest days of polyphonic synthesizers, Sound Bank ‘79 for the Cherry Audio Mercury-4 finds its inspiration in synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s.

A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Roland Jupiter-4 analog poly synth. I honestly never payed much attention to the Jupiter-4, but this plug-in sounds insanely good, it's one of my favorites now. And the included Roland Space Echo emulation sounds superb.

While designing this bank, there's one word that kept coming to mind: lush. There's a beautiful smooth and rich tone to this instrument, and paired with it's unique set of features, it's hard to beat.
