Cavisynth Subway : Tips and Audio Demo

Robotopsy Robotopsy

"Some quick tips and audio demos for the SUBWAY of Cavisynth."

via Cavisynth

"A first VCO having four waveforms responds in frequency to 1V / OCT, the second VCO is absolutely identical, but it is possible to choose down to 7 octaves below the first and to vary its frequency to +/- 2 octave. You can turn it into a CV LFO. At – 7 octaves it oscillates so slowly that it becomes a controllable LFO in CV 1V/OCT and CV IN2 in exactly the same way.

With the “CF (CrossFade)” potentiometer it is possible to adjust the crossfade between the two VCOs in order to obtain very thick sounds.

You can choose between five wave formes for each VCO and if you select noise + noise you then have the punk mode (Fig.6) !

The Subway keep the chosen waveforms in memory after power off.

The CV2 input (0-5V) is successively assignable to each of the four potentiometers and the two waveform selectors."

KERMIT MKIII : AUDIO DEMO

Published on Mar 7, 2020 Robotopsy Robotopsy

"Audio demo of the Kermit MKIII from Industrial Music Electronics.
Every sound source comes from the Kermit MKIII only...... well except the Kick drum in the first patch that comes from the HDMKIII.

Patch:01
Main Tempo from DC1 Drumcomputer from Soundmachines
All Kermit MKIII's output channels goes to two Bionic Lester MKIII before going to Two Double andore MKII's VCA Audio input
Constant Kick with the Hertz Donut MKIII triggered by the DC1
Kermit MKIII's Preset CV is in trig random mode so each trig generates a random patch of the unit.
Bionic Lesters MKIII are also in Trig Random mode
Sequencing with Stillson Hammer MKII + Pressurepoints + Z8000

Patch:02
Kermit MKIII's preset CV and attenuater are in Morph
Each channels of the Kermit goes to Bionic Lester MKIII before going to the Evin 209 Matrix mixer.
2 mix of the Evin goes to the Tyme Sefari MKII for droning
1 mix goes to the Bionic Lester v1 for optimum bass booster and aliasing madness before going to the optomix for Kick Bass.
The last mix of the Evin goes to the Polyvok Filter ( VCF ) before going to the DAMKII for some click percussions.
Reverbs - EQ - Compressor - Filters with Ableton LIVE

Patch:03
Kermit Channel A for Audio
Kermit Channel B as envelope assigned to the Amplitude of channel A to act as VCA Env combo
Kermit Channel C modulate waveform of channel A
Kermit Channel D modulate the waveform of channel B
Stillson Hammer MKII for Sequencing Kermit's channel A and B
Kermit's channel A output is splitted to the Bionic Lester MKIII A input before the Tyme Sefari MKII then the Tyme Sefari MKII's output back to the Bionic Lester MKIII B input.
Using Stillson Hammer v1's gates to the A Sound Of Thunder and Bionic Lester MKIII's CV inputs.

I'll explain the lasts patch later I got to pee.........."

CAVISYNTH : SLKT4 Sequential Switch

Published on Feb 15, 2020 Robotopsy Robotopsy

"Quick audio demo and overview of the SLKT4 from Cavisynth.
The SLKT4 will then start a rotation by changing steps each time it receives a clock signal.
The corresponding input signal will then be assigned to the output of the module. You will be able to create complex and evolutive rhythms or more varied melodious sequences."

via CAVISYNTH

"This module was designed and assembled in Switzerland by hand and with love.

4 step low cost sequential switch
Easy to build, easy to use !

Plug simply 2, 3 or 4 (CV,CLOCK,TRIGGER) signal to the inputs
Send the outpout to a VCO, VCA, EG, drum module or anyway
Choose numbers of steps do you want (2-3-4)
Plug in one external clock or trig signal
The SLKT4 will then start a rotation by changing steps each time it receives a clock signal.
The corresponding input signal will then be assigned to the output of the module. You will be able to create complex and evolutive rhythms or more varied melodious sequences.

Technical specifications:

Format – Eurorack
Power consumption – 25mA [+12V] / 10mA [-12V]
Module width – 4HP (20mm)
Module depth – 40mm (Skiff friendly)
Weight – 30g"

CAVISYNTH ODLPG Basic Tutorial

Published on Dec 28, 2019 Robotopsy Robotopsy

"Some tips for the ODLPG from Cavisynth."

"This module was designed and assembled in Switzerland by hand and with love.

“ODLPG” = Opto – Disto – Low – Pass – Gate

ODLPG is a lowpass gate whose circuit is based on the diversion of an optocoupler usually used to electrically isolate two circuits.

In other words: it is a vactrol that controls the opening of the VCA and the filter at the same time, giving a particular roundness to the sound.

In addition, this circuit architecture extremely simple, adds a little distortion when the CV that comes from your EG is quite strong.

The “curve / drive” knob increases the opening of the filter and the (light) saturation value at the same time.

The panel is matte black (like the Bufflide)

Technical specifications:

Format – Eurorack
Power consumption – 10mA [-12V] // 10mA [+12V]
Module width – 4HP (20mm)
Module depth – 12mm (Skiff super friendly)
Weight – 35g"
