Jeannie is an brand new 8-voice polyphonic DIY synthesizer. During the development we made sure that the instrument is relatively easy to build. But, component know how and soldering skills should be present. Then nothing stands in the way of a successful DIY. This video gives a short overview of the individual construction steps. After that, some sounds are presented. Approx. 400 sounds are currently available in 3 banks. 15 sound banks with 128 sounds each can be managed. 800 different waveforms and an effect DSP round off the synthesiser kit. "Stress test of the filter. No audio in signal was used. All sounds were generated with the filter resonance. A signal generator was only used to control the resonance and the different filter types. The video is handheld with a mobile phone. I thought it would be interesting for you to see what the filter alone can do.

The SMR4P-Multi contains the best from 2 worlds . First , it sounds warm like the SMR4 and second - 15 different filtertypes like the 4PM. While doing sounddesign it is very helpfull to have a ' swiss knive' VCF. So we implement 15 different filtertypes like 6+12+18+24dB LP 6+12+18 dB HP 6+12 dB BP HP2LP, HP3LP Notch,Phaser, Notch+LP1, Phaser+LP1.
What else we have build in ? There is also a FM posibility, an inbuild VCA , and you can switch the different filtertypes a:) manual or b:) voltage controlled. Jeannie It is an 8 voice polyphonic DIY synthesizer, 2 oscillators, 2 envelopes, multimode filter, waveshaper,2 LFO, ring, sync,FM , Xor,or, and a step sequencer . The oscillators have 945 different waveforms each. More than 2000 sounds can be stored on the SD-Ram card

The FX board is based on a Spinsemi FV-1. At first we wanted to switch off the built-in effects programmes, but some of them are quite usable. We have also programmed 8 new effects.

Patches (lots of pads, some sequences, weird stuff) I have made the past months on my ambika with 6 SVF cards. Ambika, made by Olivier Gillet of Mutable Instruments, is a DIY digital synth with analog filters and vcas. It's very fun to program because it has a lot oscillators waves, many routings, sequencers.
The board on the one i built is "tubika" from tubeohm.
Added a little Immerse reverb in the mix. 3 voices from the ambika are panned left, the other 3 are panned right, for stereo."
