triPLLe VGO - AV eurorack module

video upload by

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/15580...

"What is it?:

- audio -video (VGA) eurorack module;

- based on 3 x PLL (phase locked loop/cd4046) and Arduino (for generating vertical and horizontal oscillators);

- frequency of the oscillators directly corresponds to the displayed lines;

- outputs: 3 square wave Voltage Controlled Oscillators & VGA (compatible with most of the projectors & LCD screens);

- each VCO contains an attenuator;

- each VCO can be either synced to vertical oscillator (left position of the toggle switch) or horizontal oscillator (right position of the switch), or can run freely (middle position of the toggle switch);

- each VCO contains two Control Voltage inputs;

- horizontal and vertical oscillators can be synced with external inputs and /or CVs;

!!! you can play around with feedback loops between VCOs by patching one output to another input and vice-versa!!!

- high frequency (above audible; CAN BE UNPLEASANT ) = vertical lines; lower frequency= horizontal lines"

Beatrmatrix Arduino Based Step Sequencer

video upload by beatrmatrix

"This is an Arduino based 16 step sample sequencer, it uses usb serial to communicate with max4live. Currently you can use 8 different samples and you can have 3 patterns (I will increase these things). It's also possible to combine two patterns, that basically turns the device into a 32 step sequencer. Currently I'm working on a new feature, with that users will be able to launch Ableton clips with this device too."

via Tindie

"Introducing our Ableton-compatible step sequencer! This innovative device features a USB-C port, 19 hardware buttons, and the price the includes an Arduino Nano too (not the original Arduino). It communicates seamlessly with Max4Live via serial communication. What sets it apart is its versatility; if you're familiar with Max, you can easily modify the official patch and create new functions. Plus, the price includes the official patch I've designed for it.

Key Features:

Currently supports 8 different MIDI sounds, capable of triggering various drums or samples loaded into a drum rack. Create and switch between 3 distinct patterns effortlessly. Each pattern consists of 16 steps, and you can even link two patterns to achieve a 32-step sequencer. Adjustable tempo, allowing for halving the speed, ideal for using longer samples. Visual feedback provided by RGB (ws2812b) LEDs, indicating the positions of MIDI sounds and steps. Dedicated buttons for placing individual sounds or samples on each step. Compact at under 0.5cm tall, 12.8cm long, and 8cm wide, elevate your music production game with this Ableton step sequencer, offering flexibility, creativity, and a seamless Max4Live integration."

SynthCone Live set | SynthCone GRANULATOR + PLANETOID

video upload by SynthCone

"Small live set with new synthesizers PLANETOID and GRANULATOR. I also used a cassette player, radio receiver and PELENGATOR.

GRANALATOR is a digital synthesizer based on Arduino. I ordered the boards for another project, but it turned out to be not promising. As a result, having redone the board a little, it turned out OH!
Very similar to Woodblock, but all parameters can be controlled by CV. This makes him a great match for PLANETOIDy.

I did not plan to make it serially, so far there are 3 free boards for it.

You can buy all of these synths from the SynthCone store on the Boosty website."

TRI-VGA SYNTH

video upload by e j

"Triangle VGA sequencer is an unorthodox audio-video synthesiser. It consists of arduino for generating VGA signal, bunch of CMOS chips like: shift registers, frequency dividers, bilateral switches and phase locked loops. It’s noisy, unpredictable and very glitchy! It also contains envelope follower, so you can plug in an external input. There are no rules in playing the triangle – the surface is magnetic, which allows you to combine variety of patterns via placing the magnets, create feedbacks between each colour/oscillator and unstable sequences. It contains two outputs – red and green, while blue controls the overall pitch of the sequencer. It has on / of toggle switches for each colour/oscillator as well as for their frequency range and three sliders for their frequency and controls for vertical and horizontal sync and clock oscillator. It has VGA output and runs on USB mini. What you see is what you hear ! It’s brute, it’s rude. it’s contingent and crude!"

Two channel CV Gate Attenuator for 3.3V/5V logic with an arrow indicator or voltmeter

video upload by DeftAudio

"An overview of the CV/Gate attenuator with various options. Available here: https://www.tindie.com/products/defta..."

"Deftaudio Two Channel CV Gate Attenuator for Eurorack
Two channel gain and max voltage passive attenuator with three options available:

Basic version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment and LED control
Indicator version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment with a vintage arrow indicator per channel
Voltmeter version, two channel with 3.3V, 5V limits, precise adjustment with a single digital LED voltmeter
Description:

This is simple and efficient board to adjust voltage level when interfacing between Eurorack gear and to the outside world. It's specifically important for Gate levels, which exceed typical voltage level of 3.3V or 5V and go all the way up to 12V. While modular gear typically designed to handle those voltages, other instruments such as sync or arp inputs on vintage synths may not have a protection at all.

This board designed in mind with three modes of operation which are not available in other products:

3.3V logic limit. This mode is protected by a Zener diode and meant for interfacing to 3.3 logic gear, such as microcontrollers, Arduino, Teensy, etc.
5V logic limit. This mode similarly has a Zener diode circuit for 5V logic of the majority synthesizers sync, arpeggiator and other various trigger inputs.
Attenuation. In this mode multi-turn potentiometer sets the attenuation ratio. While two other modes set the max voltage limit, in this mode the output voltage is linearly scaled down to the attenuation ratio set.
Purchasing options:

PCB only: Only PCB board is included, other parts, such as connectors, diodes, resistors and LEDs are sourced by a buyer.
DIY Kit: Comes with all parts including arrow indicators or digital voltmeter per selected option. Soldering is required.
Assembled board: this option is NOT planned at the moment."

Eurorack MIDI Teensy 5x5 Interface Merger breakout

video upload by DeftAudio

"A quick overview of DIY MIDI interface kit for Eurorack based on Teensy 4.0 CPU.
Available here: https://www.tindie.com/products/defta..."

"Here is an Eurorack version of the popular Teensy 4.0 controller with 5x5 MIDI interface on TRS-A/B (selectable) ports as well as audio output.

This board is designed for Teensy4.0 and it's not compatible with other Teensy products. If you're looking for a similar board for Teensy4.1 or Teensy3.2, please, check other products in my store.

The board provides 5 input / 5 output functionality. This can be your 5x5 MIDI interface, merger, splitter, filter or whatever else you can imagine. This obviously requires programming the Arduino framework with Teensy extensions. I include basic firmware so, you can get USB MIDI running out of the box without any need to learn Arduino.

This TRS version is capable of setting a MIDI specification per port for TRS-A or TRS-B by moving jumper settings. This provides the flexibility to interface it with all vendors no matter the specification used.

You also get one Audio output (stereo) from Teensy Lo-Fi MSQ port. By default it's a sine generator programmed onto USB Port 6 and doesn't interfere with other 5x5 MIDI ports. It can be your clock out, trigger out or some advanced synth. Audio programming for Teensy is also straight forward.

All Teensy pins are available on extra pin headers. This allows easy expansion if you're planning to add extra LEDs, buttons, OLED display, in/outs etc... You can do that without soldering.

Package options:

PCB alone: This includes two PCBs(main and daughter) and aluminum front panel
Complete Electronics kit: Includes PCBs, front panel and all electronic (but Teensy4.0) - TRS connectors, optocouplers, headers, resistors, diodes. Check BOM list by the link.
Teensy microcontroller is not included with any purchase, you can buy it directly from the manufacturer: https://www.pjrc.com/store/

There are several options for providing a power:

From Teensy USB port
To be used with Eurorack 16pin power supply and sourcing 5V from eurorack (JP1 1-2)
To be used with Eurorack 10pin power supply, sourcing 12V from eurorack and doing onboard 5V conversion (JP1 2-3)
Board size and an enclosure choice: Eurorack size: 6HP, PCB Size: 10.8x5.4cm"

Arduino Drum Sequencer and Arduino CV Quantizer controlling Analog Synth Drums and other Modules

video upload by Unrelated Activities

"The Arduino drum sequencer is sending MIDI to a MIDI to CV and Gate converter, the converter gates then control analog drums and send a clock to the Arduino CV Quantizer, the CV Quantizer is processing a sine wave LFO and sending gate and quantized CV to an ADSR and a VCO and VCF pair. A VCA completes the patch. Arduino Drum Sequencer and Arduino CV Quantizer controlling Analog Synth Drums and other Modules."

video upload by Peter Churchyard

"Moog Grandmother plus eight Moog Werkstatt.
Schematics and Software at 'http://moddersandrockers.com/werkstat...'
The Werkstatt have my midi mod that takes over the keyboard logic and is driven by an Arduino. There are two quad units. The Arduino uses a few switches to control the many different note routing methods. The main modes are Unison and Individual. One mode only cycles through three of the Werkstatt and another treats the Midi out as up to four other instruments."
