Skyrim Main Theme on Eurorack Modular Synthesizer

YouTube Uploaded by crudface on Nov 11, 2011

"Let's do this."

Impressive. The Elder Scrolls Skyrim. On a personal, non-synth note, the Elder Scrolls series are my absolute favorite RPGs, followed by Sir-Tech's Wizardry (I actually played Lord Foul's Bane on an Apple II plus), followed by Might and Magic. Regarding the Elder Scrolls series, I started with Daggerfall and played every game since, finishing all but Daggerfall. Daggerfall was so huge (and I was new to the platform) I ended up getting lost in side quests. They are incredibly open universe games. Massive, beautiful and emmersive. Unfortunately my XBox 360 got the ring of death a second time, AFTER being sent in to Microsoft for the fix. I tried the DIY heatsink compound fix and it died a week later. I no longer have time for gaming with MATRIXSYNTH, but this is the one game that makes me want to pick up a new PlayStation 3.

NES controller to CV interface

"we're announcing a (yet-titled) module for eurorack...
a NES controller to eurorack modular synthesizer interface!

Core Features:

Socket for a NES controller

Dedicated gate outputs for
up, down, left, right, A, B

Turbo / Retrigger
A lovechild of classic game controller turbo, and "retrigger" (think: Machinedrum). Awesomely, it can be driven by gates from within the module, or any other external gate sources via patching.

One More Thing...
A sweet but yet-public feature that special stage designed, which will put the start and select buttons to use, and involve output of continuous non-gate signals

this is a collaborative design - the module's functionality, personality, and balance are the result of our combined experience and brainstorming. furthermore special stage is doing the code and circuit design, and I'm doing panel design and layout.

we're announcing in order to find out how many people are interested in this.
we're both pretty busy, so it is entirely possible we'll only do a single run of this and then call it a day.
if you want one, now is the time to let us know!"
