JEN SX-2000 Preset Analog Synthesizer Korg Micro-Preset
Published on May 24, 2015 keyboard resource
"The addition of a VCF and VCA section and four wave shapes to choose makes the JEN SX-2000 much more versatile than other preset synths like the ARP Pro-Soloist, Roland SH-1000/2000, Yamaha SY-1/2 or Korg Micro-Preset M500. This is just a fun little synthesizer."

"Works good. Some damage to bottom edges. Joystick is bent. Number 1 button sometimes re-triggers. See pictures.
This was Korg's answer to the Roland Juno-60 and it looks like a Juno-106 but the Poly-61 is more interesting in many ways.
Features:
- Six-voice polyphonic analog synth with digital controls
- Two digitally-controlled oscillators using square/pulse or saw waveforms
- Arpeggiator with latch, one-, two- or full octave range and up, up/down or down modes
- Polyphonic and Chord Memory/mono (unison) modes
- Hold button (any key pressed stays on until polyphony reached or turned off)
- Pitch bend joystick with DCO (pitch) modulation (up) or VCF (filter) modulation (down)"

Polyphonic voices: Trombone, Trumpet, Piano, Viola
Monophonic voices: Tuba, Trombone, Trumpet, Baritone Sax, Alto Sax, Bass Flute, Flute, Piccolo, Violin

- Vibrato Delay on/off
- Soffiato (soft attack) amount
- Decay amount
- Portamento Timer (amount)
- Mono drop down none, 3rd, 5th, 6th knob
- Mono Pitch +/-
- Poli Cancel on/off

- Portamento Temporary on while pressed down

- Soffiato or Decay selector
There is a separate output jack for Poli voices which is why they stated 'Stereo' on the front panel."

"Throwing Fire is on my 2nd CD, Disorganized Fun: https://www.ronaldjenkees.com/mp3-store/ SUPER FUN TIME WITH THIS JAM!!!! Thanks a lot for watching! Hope you liked it. Kindof a rough cut, but it's always fun. This video is dedicated to the band Papa Roach for letting me check out their studio and giving me a place to stay in LA. Those are some hard-working rockers and good guys. I got cold chills listening to the songs they're working on for their new album. I think it's coming out really soon. My friend Sam gave me the hat I'm wearing in this vid. It's made of 100% recycled material. Can't beat that. Here's their site: http://www.livity.org I'm using FL Studio software to make the beat in the background and a Korg Triton Le keyboard on top, Motif XS8 on bottom."

"Unit was a victim of battery leakage. Professionally repaired. New battery replacement. Damaged key contacts repaired. Contacts cleaned. All keys and functions work. 2nd from top A# and number 2 buttons can be a little finicky and bottom C# retriggers upon key release.
The Arpeggiator and Chord Memory are two of the coolest features. You can sync an analog drum machine that has a trigger out (like the Korg Rhythm 55 KR-55) to the arpeggiator for more fun.
Condition notes:
- Missing one screw (and its cam screw on the back side) of the top panel
- Missing one rubber foot on bottom
- Back, bottom-right corner is broken off (see pictures)
- Joystick is a little bent
- Dings and scrapes
- Some non-original bolts on bottom"

500Sound.com NED Synclavier Resource Site
This site has been around for a while. I did a quick search in the archives and although I found reference to it in Synclavier posts, I don't think I ever put up a formal post on it. With the recently released The Beast virtual Synclavier by UVI, I figured now was a better time than any to put a post up. That said, you can find the site here. You'll find everything you ever wanted to know about the NED Synclavier.
"The '''Synclavier Digital Audio System''' manufactured by New England Digital was a powerful, fully integrated computerised audio system used for music and post production. Using it's combination of synthesis, sampling, disk recording, and it's comprehensive proprietory software and hardware it was not only a powerful music performance and compositional tool but also a very accomplished sound design and editing system. It was first developed in the late '70s at Dartmouth College by Jon Appleton, Sydney Alonso and Cameron Jones.
Probably once as famous for it's cost as much as for it's musical abilities - full blown late systems would retail for between $200,000 - $300,00 US. The largest system built and sold by NED selling for $500,000. Instantantly recognisable with it's unique keyboard. The image on the left is the ORK (ORiginal Keyboard) and on the right is the later V/PK (Velocity/Pressure Keyboard)..."

This basic video shows how to program it. It's important to set the LENgth of the pattern (1 - 99) before trying to record. You can erase the pattern by choosing a LENgth of 00 and then entering a new number."

"This synth is like a suped-up Roland SH-2000 preset, mono synth.
It looks good, was recently serviced and works great. Some cosmetic issues:
- Two voice tabs are broken (Fuzz Guitar 2 and Harpsichord). Fuzz Guitar 2 tab was glued back together. Both switches work (you can swap the tabs with whichever ones you use the least)
- Missing one, black slider cap.
The Multivox MX-2000 has almost exactly the same features and voices as the Roland SH-2000:
- Touch Volume (Off/On)
- Touch Wow (Off/On)
- Touch Growl (Off/On)
- Touch Vibrato (Off/On)
- Touch Pitch Bend (Up/Off/Down)
- Repeat (Off/On)
- Sustain Long (Off/On)
- Hold (Off/On)
- Easy Tuning knob
- Touch Sensitivity knob
- Volume slider
- Modulation Speed slider
- Modulation (amount) slider
- Cutoff Frequency slider
- Resonance slider
- Portamento Speed slider
- Portamento (Touch/Off/On)
- Random Note generator (LFO Trigger/Off/Random Trigger)
- Transpose (Low/Normal/High)
But, additional the second ocillator is what makes this synth different. You choose any frequency within the range (3rd, 5th, 6th, octave or any frequency in between) or select Unison for a thick single notes.
Voices: Tuba, Trombone, French Horn, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Accordion, Bassoon, Oboe, Flute, Song Whistle, Singing Voice, Cello, Violin, Bass Guitar, Hawaiian Guitar, Banjo, Fuzz Guitar 1, Fuzz Guitar 2, Harpsichord, Piano, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Percolate (called Pop Corn on Roland SH-2000), Space Reed, Outer Space (called Planet on Roland SH-2000), Frogman, Alley Cat (called Funny Cat on Roland SH-2000), Ring Modulator (may be the same as Growl Wow on Roland SH-2000), Wind."
