Steady State Fate GND CTRL

Steady State Fate GND CTRL from VoltageCtrlR on Vimeo.

"Steady State Fate GND CTRL ( Ground Control)

GND CTRL features seven gain presets for bridging a wide range of signal and control voltages for your audio and video systems. GND CTRL also provides these commonly used utility functions:
Attenuator, Inverter, Multiple, full scale DC Bias and Bipolar Clipping Indicator.

Last but not least, GND CTRL is a dual mode OLED Voltage Meter! The Voltmeter can display AC voltages as a needle/bar display or DC and AC voltages numerically. The voltmeter is normaled to the CV processor so you can measure your changes with instant feedback.
Additionally, a dedicated voltmeter input is available for non-destructive voltage metering on the fly.
Look for GND CTRL at your favorite shops in April 2013!"

Sound of Science - Hydrodome EP Featuring Tom Carpenter of Analogue Solutions & Medic

"Sound of Science is a transatlantic duo comprising Tom Carpenter and Jason Huffman.

Tom is the man behind Analogue Solutions and has been building synthesisers for over 15 years. He has supplied synths to people such as Trent Reznor, Martin Gore, Vince Clarke, Phil Oakey, Daniel Miller, and many more. The designs are directly influenced by his love of electronic music. Jason is an analogue synth wizard, composer and a lover of all things that make noise. He also produces the legendary Rezfilter videos (see YouTube) that highlight these excellent synthesisers. Together they have pooled their years of combined experience of songwriting and sound design to produce real songs using real synthesisers.

They are currently working together on several exciting new songs and projects that will appear in the not-too-distant future.

Ladik Bipolar Voltmeter Eurorack Module

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. via this auction

"This listing is for one bipolar V-meter module for eurorack / Doepfer A100 system (ladik M-011).

3 switchable ranges (front panel switch): -2 to +2V, -4 to +4V, -8 to +8V, zero in the middle.

4 steps for positive and 4 steps for negative voltage in selected range.

Very handy for checking CV or audio levels between modules.

For example - slow LFO will light up alternating bar up and down (depends of waveshape),

symmetric VCO output will light symmetric bars (alternating so fast for eye) which appears like

continuous light in positive and negative range.

Not suitable for exact measuring of CV (tuning check or so). Step spacing is too big for this.

All three panel jacks are parallel (can be used as one to two multiple).

Quality England connectors (not cheapo China), durable engraved panel.

Built by me the best way I know. PCB on rear side is silver coated.

Width: 4TE/ 4HP/ 20mm.

Depth: 60mm /2,4"

Current: 6mA

Power ribbon cable included (handy 20cm, 16/10pin)."

On the synths featured: "Virus, the Little Phatty and the classical percussion set of Miroslav Philarmonik. The Little Phatty can be heard at the following times, mostly playing in association with the Virus :

05:25-05:57
10:43-10:52
10:55-12:09
12:11-12:18
12:28-12:56
14:12-14:53

The percussion set of Miroslav appears two times. First, with the Virus which plays its own percussion part with sounds I created : 08:37-09:21 A second time at the very end of the piece as you will notice."

"I actually did this a while ago, but never posted it anywhere. A simple patch testing my euro modular which is now quite a bit larger. This was recorded in raw, direct from speaker to my crapy camera mic!!.

I personally think that Urzwerg Pro is one of the best if not the best sequencers you can get out there for that price. Plus, it's portable, so you can use it with other things, plus it saves you rack space."

Rare BBC 1967 Mellotron PEG: Programme Effects Generator

Note the serial number is 47. I wonder how many of these were made. via Brian Kehew:

"I've always been a huge fan of Mellotrons and related items. This might be the rarest one I've seen. A friend of mine had this unit in a crate in his storage for years, I've been begging to let me get it out and try it... and it's finally possible. It's the only one I've ever seen, and most Mellotron people don't even know these existed.

The BBC seemed to have commissioned these in 1966/67 for quick access and playing of sound effects tapes. Previous to this, sound effects were kept on individual reels/spools and threaded manually onto a tradition reel-to-reel tape deck. The PEG is designed to use custom cartridges, with preloaded springed tape. They cartridges can be used up to 4 at one time, each loading into a Record/Playback "drawer" with some options. Each drawer allows you to record a new sound onto the tape, or simply play back. Playback allows pitch change and preset decay times as the tape plays. It's industrial or space-age sheet metal construction makes it look very "of its time" sort of Dr. Who meets a battleship.

It's designed a kind of a table-top or desktop unit, and there is a heavy external box used to vary pitch, if needed. So far I have only limited success with it, but it does light up and have some function. There is a huge and detailed manual documenting everything about it, so it will only be 'yet another project' and a matter of time to get it all sorted out..."
