Maplin 3800 Analog Monophonic Synthesizer

"Rare Maplin 3800 analogue synth. Good working condition. Serviced 2 months ago.

It has great sound capabilities because of the internal routing, the two VCOs (syncable), the noise generator, the S&H circuit (three different sources), three modulation sources, the ring modulator, the LFO, the VCF, the reverberation, the equalizer and the unique Transient circuit. The Transient Generator has 7 controls; Start Level (+ & -), Delay 1, Slope 1, Hold Level (+ & -), Hold Delay, Slope 2, and Final Level (+ & -). This means that you can, for example, control the Filter to close off and then open up and close off again in one envelope cycle. Like the Trapezoid circuit inside the EMS VCS3 synthesizer.

The Filter is a 24dB per octave type, just like the Minimoog, so you can get all the classic Bass and Lead sounds from this synth."

"This is a limited pre-release of Alex & June V2 with Magic Yellow panel: A small batch 10 modules full mounted and calibrated. The official released of this filter will be available as a kit at june 2015, after the Tokyo Modular Festival only.

Features:
-Low Pass, High Pas & Notch Filter with 2 Jack entries.
-Attenuverter potentiometer
-CV Jack IN,
-Cutoff and Resonance potentiometers
-10ma power draw (+/-12V or +/-15V)
-Reverse polarity protection
-Depth: 6hp

The filter accept now line level entry ( from Korg Volca etc..) An attenuverter was added on the CV IN. The new version is more versatile and offer smother controls on the cutoff and the resonance.
Now the filter can be used as a Gate.
The CV input can be used as an Audio IN (produced some delicious fuzzle and Grittlle)."

"The now famous GliGli firmware update for the perennial Sequential Circuits Prophet 600.

The runt of the Sequential litter, first to midi, and never much thought of until.... some strange dude took it upon himself to completely rewrite the os and breathe new life into this old dog.

My layout is far from perfect and has not been extensively tested but I think everything functions as should. I have not implented the fine control because there was considerable audible stepping on some important function such as cutoff freq. Not sure if it's software, hardware or MD user related but for now it will have to do.

Everything provided by midi implementation is there, it's nice not to have to interact with the number pad for access to all the new and truly amazing functionallity the gligli firmware provides. The membrane pad is probably one of the few parts that will be harder to replace as time goes on and also one of the most vulnerable to damage. Anywho all the new LFO shapes, assigning the wheels, changing Env response curves, and adjusting and viewing +/- values are much easier now.

I would love some help with this one if anyone wants to check it out, make sure it's working, and maybe help with adding fine control with the extra cc.
