Ibanez AD190, Zaquencer, Analogue Solutions Semblance

Published on Jun 20, 2015 obscure wave music obscure wave music

"Demo with Analogue Solutions Semblance, Ibanez AD-190 and Zaquencer from Zaq Audio.

The Semblance has a wonderful, smooth filter, but the instruments midi response is, in my opinion, catastrophic. So I modified it to respond to CV/Gate instead, hence the Kenton Prosolo. The Semblance is now much tighter.

The Zaquencer: a real gem, pure genius from Christian Stöcklmeier !

The AD-190 has its last days in my studio...it gets a new home. Warm, organic....a delightful piece of kit.

At times, in the demo, the input of the AD-190 gets overdriven...

"You are viewing a custom made leather protective case for a Roland 606 or 303. 1 of 3 prototypes made for Roland Canada. As you know the original plastic dust covers are very pricey and do very little to protect the item inside. this is a huge step up for any artist using these machines who may be gigging live and traveling with it or just want to keep dust and liquid accidents off it in the studio. the leather is conditioned and will repell liquids. It has the Roland logo embossed into the top cover flap. The case is assembled with heavy duty copper rivets and button snaps. the case is numbered on the bottom, in this case it is #3 of 3 made with makers stamps embossed into bottom. It has a sturdy black foam in the bottom of the case."

" A strange synth in many ways with an 'instrument' section as well as a 'synth' section with the ability to blend between the two. Each can be detuned to create nice fat bass lines and leads. It has the most amazingly playable keyboard with brilliant touch sensitivity / aftertouch style options - vary pitch and modulation using keyboard sensitivity. Although the 2 plastic joystick caps perished a long time ago the 2 joysticks are fully operational and assignable (this company provides replacement joystick caps for 50 euros if you'd like to bring it back up to full spec)

By no means the most versatile or fully featured synth but it's fantastic for turning to when you're running out of inspiration ploughing through the soft synths - i run this through some guitar pedals and always find a sound that i can't get elsewhere - and these sounds always seem to sit in a mix so well - fat but transparent if that makes sense!"

"This auction is for a Roland tb-303 that has all the Devil Fish mods by Robin Whittle. The red LEDs have been replaced with blue ones and all pots and tact switches were replaced by Robin.

The mods include all the I/O and sound shaping enhancements, MIDI and extended memory bank. Included with the 303 are the Devil Fish manual, power supply recommended by Robin, as well as the DIN/MIDI daisy chain cord and audio/control cords provided by Robin.

This 303 is in perfect working order, looks great and sounds acid.

Also included in this auction is a Roland tr-707. The 707 is in perfect working order except for the snare voice which no longer sounds. There is no power supply for the 707."

"For the past year, I’ve been prototyping an Arduino clone, the Goldilocks Analogue, which incorporates advanced analogue output capabilities into the design of the original Goldilocks with ATmega1284p AVR MCU and uSD card cage. Recently the design scope crept up to include two SPI memory devices (EEPROM, SRAM, FRAM), and microphone audio input. But, before I go through another prototype cycle, I thought it would be a good idea to build some demonstration applications, showcasing the capabilities of an arduino compatible platform with integrated analogue output and have some fun with audio..."
