1970'S MOOG MINIMOOG MODEL D SN 7324

"Here is a vintage '70s Moog Minimoog Model D in working condition. Serial #7324. The oscillators sound great. The keyboard bus bar probably needs cleaning, as played notes wander, and get better when the key is played more often. I'm not an expert on vintage synths, however. The keyboard itself feels quite nice, and the unit and panel are in good condition, except for two ends where the panel is slightly warped. The wood overall is good, except for a crack in the top wood section. All in all a good bargain, priced considerably less than others that have been refurbished, if you're knowledgeable about these synthesizers and are willing to give this one some cleanup and TLC. I have a repair invoice from Analogics, the expert analog synth restorers in Ohio, who rebuilt and replaced the keyboard bushings for another Model D for $215 plus shipping (paperwork/invoice available upon request)."

"Arp Pro Soloist, analog monophonic synthesizer from the early 1970's, part of the signature sound of Tony Banks (Genesis). This vintage preset synth has an amazingly expressive aftertouch feature, and has been refurbished at Syntaur to 100% functionality. Very nice cosmetic condition, with slightly worn lettering on the slider panel."

Eurocraic - November 2015

"On the 21st of November my friend Greg "Fleggy" (with some friends) put together the first Irish synth meet. Unfortunately I couldn't be there but I'm hoping to be at the next one. Search "EuroCraic" for more information.

Oh and that new Harvestman module you may have seen pictures of doing the rounds across the web surfaced from this event. As Scott himself came with his Harvestman system along with the new module.

Seaboard RISE and Haken Continuum-II

Published on Nov 29, 2015 Christophe Duquesne

"This is another small video combining the SEABOARD RISE, from ROLI, and the Haken Continuum, each running its own sound engine (EQUATOR on a Mac for RISE, and Eagan Matrix internal sound engine for the Continuum).

It's just one take, and directly recorded out of the mixer (no editing, so the mix is not perfect and there are a few pitch issues ....). The only addition is a reververb from Valhalla DSP run on a Tiptop Audio Z-DSP.

The VlnVlaCellBass sound of the Continuum (amazing preset from Ed Eagan) is physical modeling based.
The Legato Orchestra on the RISE (probably from Rafael Szaban), from the official ROLI preset bank (with a few local tweaking from me), is sample based.

I'm not trying to replace any instrument here: just playing something I had never been able to play on a keyboard !"

"OUR DECISION

Nowadays many studios use computers with special software for generate melodies, sequences and patterns. But only analog synthesizer will help to create really intricate repetitive, pulsating, and truly unique melodic patterns. And we offer a unique solutions - FACTOR and CY-CLONE, which are produced by famous techniques of the analogue synthesizers and sequencers (MOOG, ROLAND, KORG, ARP etc.) and used as a single system. They have got similar capabilities in creating of sounds and music sequences, and excellent analog sounding and has low cost. They are collected in standard RACK 19” case for installation in a studio rack."

Peter Blasser of Ciat-Lonbarde on the Tocante Karper

via PETER B : JUST B

"The new 'Tocante Karper' uses 24 pic chips in parallel to synthesize karplus-strong string emulations, in the Tocante scale. That scale is initially based on a very analog thing- the capacitor values in an E6 preferred number set. For example: 10, 15, 22, 33, 47 and 68 are my starting numerology. Because they are integers, and also because the frequency varies as the reciprocal of the capacitance (bigger capacitor, lower frequency), it ported over seamlessly to sixteen bit string buffers of different lengths..."

Prototype for Buchla Modular by Scrotum Lab [SL-04]

Published on Nov 29, 2015 batchas

"I finished a proto today with Orgone Accumulator + Radio Music modules in one Buchla module.
Still some details to change (like LEDs order or some CV ins not working exactly like they should), but here are the first seconds recorded after switching it on.
What we hear are the direct outs from the module. There's only external reverb and delay added."

Note: just realized I was missing a scrotum channel. :) Label added below.
