"For the fun of it! :-) This is somewhat random jamming with a Moog Sub Phatty synth MIDI'd to a Mellotron M4000D Rack while a Yamaha RM1X was playing a factory preset pattern. Strymon BigSky and DIG effect pedals used as well as a Roland RSP-550 effects rack.

"The 'Mother' of all samplers. The technology that today is used world wide to compose sampled sounds started with the The Fairlight CMI. Featured on the program 'This Week' from ABC-TV Australia (1980) and is demonstrated by one of the designers Pete Vogel and composer Michael Carlos playing his composition of the theme for TV series 'Timewarp'."

Audulus 2 Minute Tips

"Don't know how to make sound in Audulus? It's pretty easy! Just follow along with these 2 minute tips.

The 2 Minute Tip series breaks apart topics on Audulus into bite-sized chunks. I don't talk during the tutorials (though there are a few notes that pop up), and this is so that international viewers who don't understand English well don't feel left out. Familiarize yourself with the node menu and my navigation won't be so mystifying. In the future, we'll develop a finger press indicator so you can see where I'm tapping.

"CONS
The biggest thing is Modulation. The LFO/CLK rate seems to be stuck in the top-most setting. The red LED light is constantly on, whereas it should change when you adjust the slider. And I don't really hear any modulation, frankly.
Perhaps related to that is the Arpeggiator. You should be able to play a chord and then it should cycle through the notes based on the speed set on the LFO/CLK rate. None of this is happening.
Also possibly related is the Mod aspect of the Bender. Moving it right or left works as it should, but pushing up should cause modulation. Not surprisingly, this does not happen.
The "Random" Wave Form doesn't really seem to work. However, this actually may be related to the Mod situation.
The button for Tune has been replaced and the slider for the VCO Mod is missing.
There's a little black mark on one of the F keys; see photo.
The keyboard itself has a slight "bow" to it and a couple dents on the metal underside. See the photos.
I no longer have the modulation handle/grip. You'll need to buy or rent one before you shoot your video.
PROS
It is a Roland SH-101, one of the most bad-ass mono synths ever.
The sound is clean and strong, absolutely no scratchiness or dirtiness.
The functions that are not listed in the CONS section above all work as they should - a huge range of options. Portamento, Sub OSC, all the VCF settings, the Envelope settings.
All the keys work very well.
It runs perfectly well on batteries or A/C. I'll include my power supply, which is not original but IS a Boss (Roland) model."

Hopefully someone will bring this one back to full operational condition. Remember, you can search on serial numbers on the site to see their past history if they've been posted here on MATRIXSYNTH before.
