ARP 2500 - The 1045 voltage controlled voice

Published on Feb 6, 2016 DJjondent

"Some initial tests of the ARP 1045 voice which is part of the mighty ARP 2500.
There aren't many of these out there so I thought I'd do a demo using just this module so everyone can hear what they sound like.
I'm using the ARP 1050 mix sequencer & 1027 clocked sequential control source but there is no external processing, compression, etc.

The 1045 has a VCO, a low pass VCF, a VCA & two envelope generators.
EG 1 controls the VCF, and EG 2 does the VCA.
It's virtually a synth on its own.

"AKAI AX-60 Vintage Analog Synthesizer programmable midi synth keyboard ax60
The AX60 is among some of the last true analog polysynths of the mid-eighties. It was Akai's answer to the hugely successful Roland Juno series and Yamaha's new digital DX-series. The AX60 is a programmable six-voice synth with a nice LFO, lowpass (VCF) filter, envelope sections, and more."

Audulus 3 Modular Synthesizer App Review for iOS

Published on Feb 5, 2016 Touch Technology Review

Get Audulus for: iOS | Mac | Windows/Linux

http://audulus.com

"If you told me five years ago that you could be building your own instruments including synthesisers, basses and drum machines on an iPad I would not have believed it.

Well now you can do just that with the new Auduls 3 modular Synthesizer.

The UI is very straight forward and has been translated well for mobile touch screen making it very usable indeed. A simple pinch will zoom out to expand your canvas, while pulling your fingers apart zooms back in to see each building block in more detail as well as giving you access to tweak controllers.

Audulus 3 is not for the faint hearted but more suited towards professional sounds designers, Composers, DJ’s or experienced musicians looking to delve deep into the core of sound creation. And for these adventurous souls the payoff will be immense, resulting in the genesis of truly unique soundscapes."

SDS Drop Sample Transfer for Elekton Analogy Rytm

iTunes: SDS Drop By Jakob Penca

From the same independent developer that created the STROM iPad app for Rytm, a simple drag & drop sample utility that makes life much easier for Analog Rytm users.

"Drag & Drop your files onto the drum pads - the app takes care of the rest. Samples are loaded into the current Rytm project and assigned to your current Kit, ready to play.

The time for each transfer is shown, and you have the option to hear an acoustic signal when the transfer is done.

You can drop any filetype:

Core-Audio compatible media files are converted to 48kHz 16bit PCM audio, the native format for the Rytm. The high-quality conversion is handled by the Core-Audio framework.
You can even use video files - SDS Drop will extract the audio.

Any other kinds of file are interpreted as 22kHz 8bit PCM audio. If you enjoy some noise, you're going to love this.

Note: To use the app, disable Overbridge mode on your Analog Rytm. (Global > System > USB-Config)

A note on samples and the +drive:

Samples are transferred to the selected upload directory on the Rytm. After a fresh boot, this is the INCOMING directory. The behaviour is the same as when sending samples with C6.

Make sure you understand how sample transfer works in general before using this app. Refer to the Analog Rytm manual.

IMPORTANT: Before you delete samples from the +drive, please make sure to first unload them from your project. In the Rytm's Sample Manager, select VIEW RAM. Then select all samples which you plan to delete, and select UNLOAD.

Otherwise the SDS Drop app will have incorrect information about which sample slots are free.

*** Important: Get this app only if you actually use an Elektron Analog Rytm drum machine. ***"
