Troublemaker mimics the classic Roland TB-303 with some exciting new features such as additional waveforms and audio effects. In this video we'll talk about the layout, check out some preset sequences, play the synth via MIDI with a keyboard and sequencer, and also sync the internal sequencer with an external MIDI clock. Malekko Heavy Industry Manther, Mr. D and BFF first look - NAMM 2017

"Malekko Heavy Industry was one of many modular synth companies with new gear at NAMM 2017, but it wasn't its modules that caught our eye - it was two desktop synths and a drum machine tucked away behind the booth.

Malekko's new standalone range consists of an analog mono synth called the Manther inspired by Roland's MC-202, the Mr. D drum machine and BFF, a synth collaboration with Industrial Music Electronics.

All three devices works by themselves, but each comes with the necessary outputs to patch into an existing Eurorack modular system. They were only on show in non-working prototype form at NAMM 2017, but FACT spoke to Malekko's Ben Davis to find out more."

"A quick little jam I threw together this evening. Prophet 6 is sending MIDI out to the OB-6, that includes clock and CC's. The Juno 6 makes a brief but overwhelming appearance. Two repeating sequences from the built in sequencers on my two Dave Smith babies!"

"Behringer Deepmind 12 demo. This is an analog polyphonic synthesizer. I just cycle through presets and improvise whatever comes to mind. There's some pads, some basses, some organs, some electric pianos and other kinds of sounds thrown in."
