"New membrane panel and tuning in progress. Turn around time is ue to synth being in shop. This synth was manufactured in 1983 by Fender in Japan. It is very clean, and a fine example of a babied Polaris which has been in the studio. You're not likely to find a cleaner looking and performing Polaris on the market anywhere... This is a six-voice synth with a 61-key velocity sensitive keyboard. It has selective pitch bend, which lets you bend some notes in a chord while keeping others fixed. It has a MIDI interface, and includes a built-in sequencer."

"This module was produced off of an early group buy run from Mutable Instruments Open Source documentation. The PCB is labelled 'Analord' and I am not 100% sure on documentation. I know it uses the old style 3.5mm jacks, future runs were modified to accept more readily available 3.5mm jacks."

"Allen Strange wrote the book on modular synthesizers in the 1970s. Electronic Music: Systems, Techniques, and Controls. Unfortunately since the expanded 1982 edition, it has never been reprinted, and in today’s landscape where more people have access to modular synths than ever before, very few have access to the knowledge contained within. This video series will explore patches both basic and advanced from Strange’s text. Even the simplest patches here yield kernels of knowledge that can be expanded upon in infinite ways. I have been heavily influenced by Strange since long before I became a modular synth educator. Please share this knowledge far and wide.

This video shows the use of a VCA for things other than audio amplitude: automating the amplitude of a sequence ("sequence sequencing", and also automating the amplitude and frequency of a simultaneous pulse stream."
