"Prophet X Live Demonstration. Audio was recorded directly out of the Prophet X.

We wanted to see if it was possible to break the Prophet X by having four people adjust multiple controls in real-time, but we were wrong.

The Prophet X contains hundreds of thousands of custom samples - specifically designed for the synth. This particular patch contains a large-scale symphonic choir singing: "X X X X" in a sustained loop."

People who are temporarily disoriented and can't find their way around in this society. Cannot and do not want to follow the mainstream. Closed in themselves and observing the hustle and bustle of this society with incomprehension and astonishment, they walk the world in strange ways.

Meet The Makers: Vlad Kreimer of Soma Labs

"Vlad Kreimer is a visionary chap, his early experiments in electronics sent him in some unusual directions, created in isolation in his native Ukraine (where he also invented his take on the sampler). These ultimately leading him to the excellent Lyra 4 and more recently the Lyra 8 which we reviewed and thoroughly enjoyed - its the physical manifestation of Vlad's desire to create instruments which break out of the standardized interfaces of modern instruments and encourage the user to explore creativity in a different way. These were built to provide Vlad with the instruments he wanted to use - his performances are the very definition of alternative."
