You can find the first trailer here. Ambient Waves is an electronic music festival taking place in München (Munich), Germany May 23 - 25. As you can see via the list in the video, and the details below, the event will feature some well known modular manufacturers and musicians.

“Ambient Waves“ ist ein modernes „Update“ der in den 70er Jahren in Deutschland entstandenen Musikrichtung "Kosmische Musik", die hauptsächlich mit elektronischen Musikinstrumenten (Synthesizer) gespielt wurde.
Vorbilder für diese Bezeichnung, die es in ähnlicher Form auch in anderen Ländern gab (Spacerock) dürften vor allem Science-Fiction-Filme gewesen sein.
Titel aus dem Bereich der Kunstmusik haben dazu beigetragen, die Musik von Klaus Schulze, Popol Vuh, Ash Ra Temple und vor allem Tangerine Dream mit Vokabular aus der Physik zu belegen.

Eines der Highlights des Festivals ist deshalb die Teilnahme von Thorsten Quaeschning ( Tangerine Dream ), der am 24.05. solo spielen wird.

"This is an original factory 6 voice model. The synthesizer is not working properly. There is a tone or noise, depending on which knobs you turn but no patches. All voice cards are working and light up one at a time when you trigger a note but they are out of tune. When I purchased the synth, all 6 voice cards already had new capacitors and all multi trimmers replaced. The power supply had also been recapped along with all new key bushings installed. The previous owner could not find anyone to do a calibration so decided to sell it. I also cannot find anyone to do a calibration within 7 hours of my home. It may need more than a calibration or it may not."

"This is the third song with the Modal Electronics Craft Synth. This time I did a minimal drony/noisy/soundscapish one with this little beast.

I used it for the recording together with the following FX pedals:
4ms Dual Looping Delay, Alesis Ampliton, GFI System Specular Reverb 2, Roland TR-8 (for sidechaining).

The signal went then via a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 mixer straight into the pc.

To create the complete song I recorded several stereo audio tracks, each played live. The final song was then mastered with just a bit EQ and compression on some tracks."

"The Buchla sound, that is sometimes described with adjectives like 'wooden' or 'nasal', is to me when the machine seizes to be a synth and starts to become a living creature. Within a sequence, these sounds become vowels between consonants.

My easel is made up of a Roman Filippov 208 Clone, a BEMI 223e an Electric Dompteur Model hED, a Voltage Circus Model hVC and a Time and Triggers Model 2TT lent generously to me by Northern Lights Modular."
