WMD Crucible Eurorack Module - 15 minutes of sounds NO TALKING

Published on May 16, 2019 WMDevices

"Exactly what the title says. 15 minutes of sounds generated 100% from the Crucible Eurorack Synthesizer Module.

This video is focused on the sound generation capabilities of the module and goes from realistic cymbal sounds to straight alien soundscapes. We are only using the two trigger inputs, as using the audio input would require audio from a different source. Another video focused on the audio input capabilities will come soon. Audio rate triggering and modulation however is all over this video. Put it on and tune out while placing an order at your favorite eurorack dealer." [see the dealers on the right]

This is the promo made by the Caravan's label in 1973 following the release of 'For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night'.

This promotional film paid and made for Decca Records in 1973 was shot as a playback recording (not live). It was featured on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test programme in the same year but was never seen again until release on the Caravan 35th Anniversary concert DVD set in 2004. The band and management now own the original negative print of the film which was rediscovered in the old vaults of Metrocolor at Technicolour London.

"For auction a Very Rare 1972 Davoli Davolisint. First Italian synthesizer. Works great with original case. Museum piece

There are numerous demos of this on the web. Italian monosynth, two oscillators, control over pitch 1/2-32', organ style.
Each oscillator can be detuned, each oscillator has independent vibrato, each oscillator has independent glide (T1 and T2 switches on panel). Two decay waveforms quick and no decay (continuous) (C switch on panel). High key priority.
Pitch bend level at left of control panel.

Includes original carrying case. Good condition with some dents and scuffs, one broken latch.
Synth is in excellent condition, tolex on case clean with no cuts, bruises or stains, keys clean, minor scratches to black painted control panel with a large scratch on top (see photo)

Unusual feature is the left most grey and black keys, rather than part of the notes keyboard these keys control the panel switches so one can 'play' the pitch, glide, vibrato and decay of the black/white keys.

See Dave Sinclair of Caravan play one here" [embed above]

"Classic warm and fat '80s analogue synth. Great condition, studio use only, has been stored for the last 20 years. A few very minor cosmetic blemishes on the case - see photo of corner. 3 x sound voice ROMs included - acoustic 1, synth 1 and sound effects 1. All good working order, no crackles."

"This synth is in overall very good cosmetic condition with only a few light scratches to the face and back panels and some minor scratches to the bottom side of the unit. The wood side panels are in very good condition except for a light scuff on the left hand panel. Some of the original end panel fasteners were lost during a repair visit so I replaced them with close, but not exact, parts. The inside of the unit is very clean with no signs of damage or abuse. All graphics are in excellent condition. All of these faults are shown in the pictures.

This synth has a good keyboard with no broken or dead keys but the keys are noisy when they rebound. Key contacts and circuit board were recently cleaned and included application of conductive material to the contact pads.

Operationally, the synth powers up and sounds good. The unit will auto tune all eight voices with no exceptions being indicated. However, there is noticeable oscillator drift when playing."

Vermona Analog MIDI Synthesizer

"Analog synthesizer produced by German music company Vermona throughout the 1980's. It is a 2-VCO monophonic analog synthesizer. It has most basic analog edit parameters. A 24 dB/oct analog VCF (filter) with 4 knobs (Brilliance, CutOff, Resonance, Contour), a single LFO to modulate the VCO or VCF sections and a typical ADSR VCA envelope. There are preset VCF and VCA settings as well as a Manual mode, but there is no real Patch setting storage available. Also absent are MIDI and CV or Gate.

Its sounds are pretty basic analog stuff. It makes a real nice analog bass. Real effects on-board is the portamento-like Glide effect and Vibrato. Colorful knobs, a clean layout, vintage wood end-cheeks and a genuine analog sound. It's an interesting piece.

MIDI input is inserted additionally by the master. There is a socket for adjusting the octave range with a simple Phillips screwdriver. This is indicated on the photo of the reverse side of the synthesizer.
The master carried out preventive work. So, everything works fine, all buttons are used, the potentiometers does not rustle."

The beginning of this one reminded me of This Mortal Coil.
