"The Panoptigon represents the culmination of years of research and development that carries an awesome vintage instrument into the modern era. Redesigned from the ground up, the Panoptigon empowers the artist with MIDI, modern effects, and a deeper and more thorough feature set than ever dreamed of before.
The original Optigan program discs came in many popular styles, and our new disc mastering system has enabled us to create and release never-issued discs from the master tapes rescued and preserved by Pea Hicks. The Pun - Acces Virus Indigo - MS-20 mini - DSI Mopho - Novation KS4 - Korg X5dr

Published on Jun 6, 2019 Arrayzable

"Chaotic video of my live performance on my Electribe EMX-1. Synth part 1 and 2 are controlling the Novation KS4 which plays the nylon-stringed-guitar part. Synth part 3 is controlling the DSI Mopho which delivers the acid bass line. Synth part 4 controls the Volca Bass one note bass line. Synth part 5 controls the bell sound on the X5dr.
Access Virus Indigo is for chords, and the MS-20 mini is for lead.

After listening to Baer Marcels trance tracks for years and enjoying his sound quality, I wanted to give this kinda style a try. It's been fun, and I will be going down that road a bit further.

As always live play with synths and sequencers.

Used in this track:

Korg MS-20 mini
Access Virus Indigo 1
Novation KS4 (K-Station)
Korg Electribe EMX-1
Korg Monologue
Korg microKORG XL
DSI Mopho
Volca Bass
Korg X5DR"

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #67: Ensoniq SQ-R Plus - Song 1

Published on Jun 6, 2019 Christian's Sonic Spaces

"This is the first song with the SQ-R Plus/32. It's a 32 voice 8-part multitimbral synthesizer. It features 9 Transwaves, Ensoniq's kind of wave tables.

I used for the recording the following FX chain:
SQ-R Plus/32 - Alesis Ampliton - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated

The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track.

Well, I decided to go back to the basics, but at the same time make something useful for the synth community and do a kind of competition (I like competitions;-). What's my best synth for ambient music :-)"
