Electribe 2 Sampler + AE Modular Synth #TTNM

Published on Sep 15, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Another jam with the Korg Electribe 2 Sampler and AE Modular. More info below :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

To make things easier for me with the Electribe 2S, I used this blank pattern file to reset all factory content:
https://innerportalstudio.com/electri...

... and this cool sample manager for OSX and Windows:
http://appification.de/ElectribeSampl...

For this jam I used AE Modular drum samples again, which I synthesized with the modular the old-school way, without drum modules, but with regular VCOs, filters, a waveshaper, a lowpass gate, etc.

So all sounds are from the AE Modular, even those coming from the Electribe Sampler. The groovebox is clocking the AE Modular via its analog sync output (the one you also find on the Korg Volca devices) and there are two modular synth voices running in the AE rack. One with a SEQ16 melody and another with just two alternating notes.

During the jam I tweak filter and envelope parameters on the AE Modular and mutes and effects on the Electribe."

Mallets - Metallophon, Morphagene, Mimeophone, Freak, O Coast, VCV Rack, Midilar

Published on Sep 15, 2019 Omri Cohen

"So for this one, I took my sons toy metallophone and recorded it into the Make Noise Mimeophon. In VCV Rack, I have the ADDR sequencer sequencing the O-Coast, and a few oscillators going into Pulsars from the Geodesics collection for this nice wavetable feel. I send the O-Coast through the hardware version of Freak, and from there to Chronoblob 2 and Rescomb 2 in VCV Rack. I also have some nature sounds I've recorded in the Morphagene to add to the atmosphere.

"legendary and rare sound module Marion MSR-2. This device was designed by Tom Oberheim, and produced in very small amount, like ~100 pcs only. Boasts for well known and easy detecting sound of Oberheim devices, offer 8 voices, SEM filters, direct inputs into filter, other beloved sweet things. If you looking onto this module, you know what is it, but more detail if forgot, or never seen : [posted here - link fixed].

Physically device in very good condition considering age, except a bit bent left ear, but flat in fact/small chipped paint, from previous owner. All buttons, encoders, LCD working perfectly, no faults, original outboard PSU with clean dense DIN connector."

"A mighty 3 oscillator mono synth that is commonly compared to a voyager. This thing is amazing! 14 different filter types on this beast! 4LPF, 4BPF, 2HPF and 2Notch. This thing is SO versatile and pretty much “knob per function” which makes it a joy to use. It’s in wonderful condition and has been strictly a studio synth. I’ve cared for it to the highest degree. This is the item I am most bummed to sell out of all of them. They are hard to come by stateside."
