Crow: First (Monome Crow + Mannequins)
Published on Oct 20, 2019 S. B. Arweiler
"First flight with Monome Crow. This is Crow's 'first' sequencer, sequencing Mannequins Mangrove and a self oscillating Three Sisters. Just Friends is only used as a clock source in this patch. Everything goes through Bastl Thyme. EHX Catehdral adds reverb in the mixer's."

"crow speaks and listens and remembers bits of text. A scriptable USB-CV-ii machine.
crow connects to norns and computers running Max, Max for Live, and other serial-enabled applications. We’ve created various norns scripts and Max for Live devices which require no programming, and we’ve also created tutorials and studies to get you started quickly programming your own ideas into this tiny, powerful module.
crow also stores a complete script, so that without a USB connection it can continue to run, responding to CV input and ii messages.
A collaboration by Whimsical Raps and monome.

warmth | Digitone + Analog Heat MK2 Dark Ambient
Published on Oct 20, 2019 Blicero
"warmth by Blicero
I recently sold a lot of stuff to downsize my set-up and in doing so acquired an Elektron Analog Heat MK 2. Which is far and away the most musical and wonderful distortion/Drive I’ve worked with. I really like on certain settings that you can sit at the precipice of a destructive effect without going to far in.
This piece was made on the Digitone straight into the analog heat. A little darker in tone than previous stuff; I’d expect a little more of this kind of thing moving forward. It’s inspired by my days of post-rock and shoegaze guitar playing.
Recorded onto a Zoom H6 and lightly processed in Ableton."
Moog Source + Volca Sample

"Jamming with moog source and volca sample sequenced by a beatstep pro. The track is called 'to know your flesh' and it contains a sample from the movie 'Hellraiser', hope you like it."

"This is an ARP Omni 2, Model 2473, fully overhauled by Synthcave Sound. It's fully functional and sounding great! The legendary Omni 2 is perhaps most closely associated with Joy Division but was used extensively in numerous recordings in the late 70s and early 80s. Its lush Solina string-ensemble sound is much sought after, but the Omni 2 also features a polyphonic synthesizer with VCF, LFO, and ADSR envelope along with a separate bass-synth section with its own envelope. Comes with a power cord.
The just-finished restoration consisted of 40+ hours of work:
- All 15 sliders were replaced with brand-new, modern, LED-illuminated sliders; these are super-smooth and look fantastic!
- All tantalum and electrolytic capacitors in the power supply have been replaced with brand-new, high-quality, high-voltage electrolytic capacitors - additionally, the recommended power-supply mod as described in ARP's field change notice FCN0011 (addition of a pair of capacitors and a pair of zener diodes) has been performed
- New key bushings on all keys, buss bar cleaned, and the keybed leveled
- All tantalum capacitors throughout the synth have been replaced with new high-quality electrolytics
- The 4075 VCF module has been modded for improved cutoff range
- Fully calibrated to factory spec with oscilloscope and frequency counter
Cosmetically, the synth is in quite good shape, considering its age. The top is a little scuffed up, as is quite common for the Omni 2, as people tend to like to set things on them that they probably shouldn't due to the flat surface. But, overall, it looks great, particularly with the new illuminated sliders!"
