BugBrand Modular & MuSonics Minimoog - December 2, 2014

batchas

"If I remember well the bass drum comes from the BugBrand Quadrature Sine that I used a lot for BD services.
Back then I was testing the BugBrand with different synths."

Klavis-Twin Waves MKII Dual VCO/LFO demo (no talking )

Dziam Bass

"Hi All.
Today I have a small demo with quite an extensive Twin Waves MKII module from Klavis
It is a really interesting Dual Oscillator with many functions, available algorithms, built-in quantizer, dual LFO, Through zero and linear FM ,and many other functions.
Basically at the beginning of the small demo waves, as you can see very quickly you can also get Super SAW.
then you have a few examples in sequence or modulation and for each I also used CalTrans for the perfect trace and for low transposition and the Mixwitch module in this case as a mixer with Quadigy -Quad Programmable Envelope Generator for modulation.
each patch of the 7 available is slightly different to show the versatility of the Twin Waves module.
For me this is Beast in small HP module.🔥🔥🔥
for example, some functions available from the module description."

TWIN WAVES MKII

Two oscillators independently set as VCO, LFO, or random generator
Features in VCO mode:
V/Oct tracking over 10 octaves
Through zero and linear FM
Sub-octave output
Hard & soft synchronization
VCA control and CV algorithms selection
Quantizer with various scales
20 algorithm-based synthesis types among:
Wave shaping
Phase modulation
Phase positioning of multiple waves
Up to 5 stacked oscillators in tunable unison
Self-sync with phantom oscillator
Additive synthesis (7 waves)
Variable bit reduction (bit-crushing)
Ring modulator with its own 2nd oscillator
Noise with LPF, BPF, or resonant filter
Features in LFO mode:
Simultaneous signal and trigger outputs
External wave synchronization
Clock controlled rate with voltage controlled multiplier and divider
CV and knob control of output level
Algorithm based wave engine with a selection of:
Wave shaping
Phase modulation
Random levels and vectors (also Brownian)
Randomly spaced triggers and waves
Display with contextual icons and instant reminder help text
LEDs indicating potentiometer vs. value matching, switch settings and output signals
Automatically saved settings for instant recall at power on
Firmware update by playing an audio file via the front panel
Compact and skiff-friendly module

This MKII evolution brings a redesigned layout, additional knobs for more hands-on fun and semi-modular cross-patching between sections.

Queen of Pentacles new sample bank by NERO BELLUM

Endorphin.es

"We introduce a new sample-library with the new banks for Queen of Pentacles and for our new upcoming products:
https://endorphin.es/sample-library/
Check the new bank by @Nero Bellum, full video walkthrough.
No extra processing is made, just signature samples used with permissions with applied module's build-in effects, filter and saturator.
All video sequenced by 3x Running Order modules, no extra sequencer used."

Modal Skulpt: "Four by Fourteen" (+ Running Score)

Kris Lennox

"A while back I posted a piece on the OB-6, titled 'Six by Eighteen' i.e 6 voices, 18 beats in the bar. In this work, I'm embracing the 4-voice nature of the Skulpt, and writing in 14/16 time. Running score included to illustrate the 4 voices i.e if you can read music, you should be able to follow each line independently with the aid of the score.

Musically quite complex, in terms of rhythms. The central voices are playing a 4:3 Superparticular (i.e Geminus Sesquitertius).

In terms of the Skulpt: you're hearing 5 recordings. I made an initial recording with the Skulpt performing all 4 voices simultaneously (PS the Skulpt managed fine RE performing all 4 parts simultaneously), but from a compositional standpoint, it makes more sense to have a unique timbre for each voice. I re-recorded each voice (unison, as opposed to poly mode) with a unique timbre/patch I created.

The primary sound is still there - but part of the mix. However, everything you are hearing is the Skulpt (with the exception of standard production work i.e reverb, panning etc).

Enjoy/all best
Kris"

Akai AX60 | The best and worst synthesizer Akai ever did

Espen Kraft

"The Akai AX60 from 1985. A one-vco-oscillator per voice, with the ability to patch in voices from their line of first samplers as a 'VCO 2'. Very unique."

Neon Nights: 1980s Music Production

"Hey guys! Hope you like the video.
You guys can hear what the new Rev 4 prophet sounds like in a mix using vintage synthesizers.
The song is based on Physical by Dualists Lipa

This was the very first time I used MIDI with the new Sequential Prophet 5.
This jam was sequenced on the MPC Live.
Other synths used:Model D-bass
Prophet 5 Rev 3-strings
Lead Prophet 5 -REV 4 layered with DX7"

'The Thing' Theme cover (Hydrasynth, Peak, Vector, E370, Minimod VCOs)

State Azure

"My cover version of Ennio Morricone's 'The Thing' Theme. I once did a very short version of this for Instagram. Seemed like a good time to do a complete version. Happy Halloween!

Recorded direct to DAW."
