Novation Circuit Tracks: Advanced Tips & Features

video by Gabe Miller Music

"A tutorial showing tips, tricks, and hacks for getting more out of the Novation Circuit Tracks."

Moog Subharmonicon Tutorial. Part 3. Fine Tuning in Cents. Pulse Width Manual Control.

video by Anton Anru

"This episode is devoted to classical Moog timbers that are played with a keyboard. We all know (and love) THAT moogish 3osc sound, and we can get it with Subharmonicon. And even more, as it has 6 oscillators. However, there's no Pulse Width and Fine Tune knobs, that help to make the sound phatter and more diverse. In this video I'm showing how to break this limit and create massive Moog leads, basses, and plucks.

Voltage Modular | VM2500 Collection - ARP 2500 Modules in Software by Cherry Audio

video by Cherry Audio

https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/vm2500-collection

"Cherry Audio and MRB have collaborated to deliver the unique module features, stunning sound quality, and overall user experience of the rare and classic ARP 2500 synthesizer to the Voltage Modular platform. Every module produced for the original 2500 system has been recreated in perfect detail, including a couple that were planned but never produced (including a full-function oscilloscope and a spring reverb) and a mixer module that never existed, but should have! We’ve eliminated the matrix-switch I/O scheme and replaced all connections with standard CV jacks, and added bi-polar CV attenuators to all modulation inputs for full compatibility with all Voltage Modular modules. But most importantly, the tremendous analog sound and unique features of the original modules have been retained in their entirety, with a few small tweaks to improve the practicality of these 50-year-old designs. The recreation of the 2500 modules was a team effort, combining Cherry Audio’s extensive design experience with award-winning synth designer Mark Barton’s (MRB) DSP coding sorcery. The result is a virtual time machine of fat, impactful early electronic music history for the ears!

All 18 original modules produced for the ARP 2500 system have been recreated in perfect detail, plus a couple that were planned but never produced (including a full-function oscilloscope and a spring reverb) and a mixer module that never existed, but should have! Sound sculpting with Erica Synths Black Low Pass VCF, High Pass VCF and Filter Coupler

video by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Today we’re having a look at a brand new filter series for eurorack form Erica Synths. The series adds a high pass filter, a low pass filter, and a filter coupler module to the Black module series. The high and low pass filters can be used as standalone filters. The filter coupler module functions as a satellite module, so you can have your audio processed by both filters to add band pass and band reject functions to the filters.

We go over the features of all three modules. Then we dive into some sound demos and patches. First the low pass and high pass, and then when you combine the filters in series, or with the coupler module.

The Alan Parsons Project - Sirius (1982) Cover - KOSmusic Extended Version

video by KOSmusic

"Visit my website: https://kosmusicovers.altervista.org

This is my extended version of a great instrumental classic from the 80s: Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project.

The original version of this track is an introduction to the song "Eye in the Sky" and was also used as background music in the NBA for the entry into the field of the Chicago Bulls in the 90s at the time of the legendary Michael Jordan! Furthermore, here in Italy, it was used for the final scene of the movie 'Lui è Peggio di Me' of the 1985 with Adriano Celentano and Renato Pozzetto.

I have always found this music so suggestive and powerful with its strong guitar/piano hits and its unmistakable melody. When I finished the first part of this track, I thought it would be interesting to try to do an extended version. I have chosen to keep its original features, managing the various instruments in order to maintain the structure that we all know very well. I only added some little guitar riffs with delay to enrich the second part of the track in David Gilmour-style of the "Pink Floyd".

As for the main sound, I chose a preset from the CS1x (Clavi_008) because I really liked its bright sound and that's what suited my version best. The sound of the strings also comes from the CS1x (Octavia_104). Since the CS1x keyboard has only 61 keys, in order to play the lowest notes of the piano in the video, I had to lower my synth by 2 octaves.

I hope you like this version :)"
