Multivox Model MX202 String & Bass Keyboard Synthesizer SN 834036

"Made in Japan sometime in the 1970s, it is a Multivox String & Brass keyboard synthesizer. Model MX-202. 61 keys. All kinds of various little functions. We tested it out today. It seems like everything works EXCEPT for the G#2 key, which does not work in any setting. The settings are brass, strings 1 & 2, along with the ability to blend them together. There is also the ability to select which of these sounds are played over the lower and upper sections of the keyboard. There is vibrato, sustain, and slow attack. The ensemble (chorus effect) has 2 modes. The voices sound very cool. It has a very retro sound, and when you put the sustain combined with the pitch modulator together and do some simple arpeggios, it sounds like is straight out of the "Stranger Things" TV show. Stand not included. The case is functional. The handle, latches, and hinges all work."

Behringer's EMS VCS3 Update

The Behringer EMS VCS3 was first mentioned in 2017. A patch point render was teased in 2019, followed by a protype in 2021 here and here. In 2022 Behringer announced the clone was nearing completion with 50 units in the works.

The lastest update from Behringer follows:

"We’d like to give you some exciting update about our VCS3.

In our previous update we shared our mechanical challenges with the pin matrix, which have now been resolved. We’re very pleased to report that it has passed a stringent 100,000 lifecycle test.

We’re now shipping units to our beta testers for final testing and comparison with the original synthesizer. Once passed, we will start manufacturing.

We know this synth has taken much longer than we thought, but we’re sure the wait is worth it.

Thanks for all your patience and support:-)"

EMEAPP/CHERRY AUDIO PS-3300

video upload by EMEAPP

"Are you thinking of purchasing the new Cherry Audio PS-3300 plugin? Check out this video! Make sure you purchase it directly from cherryaudio.com as 10% of the profits will be donated to our organization during the month of October. An option for an additional $5 donation is also available at checkout so please consider that as well, your support is greatly appreciated!

While we were involved in prior product releases (GX-80 and Novachord), this was our first collaboration from the ground level with Cherry Audio and we definitely wanted to make an impression. We felt that a recreation of our cherished and ultra-rare KORG PS-3300 polyphonic synthesizer would be the perfect candidate for Cherry to translate from the actual hardware to the computer screen in their inimitable style. They did the PS-3300 justice and we are extremely proud to have been the source of the secrets to this mythical beast. We are also extremely grateful to the fine folks at Cherry Audio who have gone above and beyond in their support of EMEAPP and our mission. We look forward to future projects together.
