iPhone music - 1 Year of Music Revolution
YouTube via AmidioInc
"This a landmark video for Amidio Inc, since exactly 1 year ago we published our first video of Noise.io iPhone synthesizer (in early beta). Now, 1 year since that, we have created 5 music apps, that can be used together to produce a full-blown track. This video shows you a tiny bit of what's possible. All sounds generated on the iPhone and then sent through an FX processor.
We really think that handheld mobile devices - with the iPhone being the first of them - are the key to the future of music creation and are strongly inclined to continue developing revolutionary music applications.
Apps used: JR Hexatone Pro, Noise.io Pro, Star Guitar Pro, Star Piano Pro, Star Melody

J.S. Bach C Major Prelude & Fugue, Book 1, BWV 846
YouTube via AaronAndrewHunt
"Here's a rendition of Bach's C Major Prelude and Fugue (opening) played in Just Intonation on a Tonal Plexus keyboard. Obviously, Bach did not write this music to be played in Just Intonation (the "Well Tempered" part of "Well Tempered Klavier" has a specific meaning for tuning), so this is an experimental performance which uses pure 3rds and 5ths, natural 7ths in dominant chords, and harmonics reaching the 17-Limit in diminished chords. In several places, a common tone can be heard to 'bend' from one chord to the next (usually in ii-V progressions) where a pitch has to move by a septimal comma; the pitch is changing in real time by JND steps. This is a single take. I played only the opening of the fugue, very slowly ; ) This is for two reasons. First, so my fingers will behave and play the right keys, and second, so the sounds of Just Intonation can be savored a bit. Find out more about the Tonal Plexus at http://www.h-pi.com"

Siel Expander 80 Analog Synthesizer With Mods
via this auction
"A Siel Expander 80 with added Mods: 4 knobs and theremin [light sensor] control.
The Siel Expander 80 is an analog polyphonic synthesizer from the 80's. Back when controlling parameters with a push button interface was a must. Nowadays the analog sound with analog style control (knobs) is very much sought after and desired. This expander is modded so it now offers 4 parameters to be controled hands on by 4 knobs and a LDR resistor (theremin like control). The original power supply is included with this synthesizer!
Cutoff - edit the cutoff frequency in the menu and turn this knob to have hands on control of a portion of the total cutoff frequency spectrum this synth offers.
Resonance - set the resonance level to max and control the whole range of the available resonance levels with this knob.
vcf envelope level/pitch - this knob controls the level of the envelope. Turning it will also cause to lower or increase the pitch a few tones.
Distortion/chorus - give the synth a bit of lowfi distortion with this knob in left setting. Turning it right will give you control over the synth's chorus level: fattening its sound.
Waving your hand above this sensor will modulate the cutoff frequency! You can set the level of modulation with the cutoff knob. The theremin function can be turned on or off with the red switch on the left side. Using the theremin function will disable the cutoff knob.
Cool thing about the Expander 80 is that every parameter can be controlled by MIDI CC messages. So hook it up to your favorite (pc) sequencer and/or control if with your midi controller!

Roland System 700 Block 7-2

(click for more)
"Roland System 700 Block 7.
This Block contains 1 x Multiple Jack,1 x Analog Switch,1x Dual Channel Phase Shifter,1 x Dual Channel Audio Delay."
inside a System 700

They both sound differend ,one is more punchy and has better filters as the other (thats why there are different
opignions between those that own or did try a 700 (like stated in the Peter Forest AZ books)
Differences are in following modulles: ADSR,RING,VCA And FILTERS
VCA old systems are noisy low dynamic CA3080 based
The later uses the same OTA's IC's as in the 100M
RING,The old system uses a MC1496 IC's design ,not the case in the
later one models that use a different design.
ADSR old poor slow attack in old systems
later system uses same 100M design
FILTERS,in the old systems poor ceramic caps are used al over in both filters
Later systems they upgraded with hi Q styrene caps everywhere
the resuslt is the later system filters sound more accurate and give in combination
with the better VCA's and ADSR's a more punchy sound
I would describe the old system ,more organic sounding and the later
dynamic and punchy
If i have to choose ill take for sure the later systems, they realy sound much better in the end (more bass to)
How u can see u have an old or new 700? ->
Pull out the modulles and check lol (check some pics in attach),no in fact there is also a physical difference from the outside but cannot be seen well on pictures:
Old systems have plain white graphics, while the later systems there is a 'siver-ish' glow in the color of the graphics."

Roland Juno 60, Minimoog Voyager Lunar White, Boss Dr 220E, Korg R3 vocoder on Italcimenti
YouTube via jerrydibella
"This is a live jam through the notes of amazing "somewhat you need" by Italcimenti. My computer controls all the sequencies, the bass is from my Minimoog Voyager, the lead melody and the noises are from my Roland Juno 60. The drums 808 style from Logic Studio's Ultrabeat, I play live also a little part on a Boss Dr 220 E, that I normally use to trigger my Roland Juno 60 (having a lot of fun , too!). I've recorded video with a webcam, for the audio I've recorded live, and then I added some additional sequence like some sweps noises made with Juno 60 and some percussions from the Dr 220E."
