ARP 2600 with Euclidean Circles

O.Z. Hall

"The Korg ARP 2600 is augmented by a eurorack cabinet built to support the 2600. The focus is on the Euclidean Circles (v1.9) module and the great rhythms you can easily create with it.

Thanks James Carr for building this cabinet for me!

Technical note. I'm using the Intellijel Metropolis sequencer as a clock source (to start/stop the sequence). The actual sequencing that you hear is from the Behringer 960 Sequential Controller."

Sequential Prophet-5/10 Rev4 Sounds

Perfect Circuit

"The Sequential Prophet-5 and 10 are back! This video shows some of the sounds that the Prophet-10 Rev4 can produce. If you have always wanted a Prophet-5 but didn't want to pay vintage prices or worry about it breaking you can now get a brand new one!

The Rev4 adds the option to switch between the Rev1/2 and Rev3 filters as well as the "vintage" knob that that goes from the modern stable Rev4 on one end to the quirky and drifting Rev1. For keys the Prophet-5 and 10 have 49 Fatar semi-weighted keys with velocity and aftertouch.

SOUNDMIT 2020 - Exhibitor - UDO Audio - Showcase

SOUNDMIT

"We are UDO - a collaboration of engineers, designers and musicians dedicated to making powerful and accessible instruments. We create instruments that are feature-rich and inspire play — putting the user first and allowing unhindered creative expression. The super 6 is a unique hybrid analog & digital architecture with a stereo signal path for creating a ‘wide’ sound with a spatial quality unlike other instruments in its class. Inspired by the classics, built for today — a new take on the traditional analog synthesizer."

E-MU EMAX - RAP DEMO - RAD RAPPERS

MrCaliforniaD

"This is the E-MU EMAX RAD RAPPERS DEMO.

This obscure demo might have been produced at some point by the E-MU team when the SE upgrade was released, but there's no mention of it on the Internet.

Therefore, I am sharing it with the world.

Special thanks to Jay Boy for helping me find my Emax and to Olivier Van Tassel for selling it to me!"

Digitakt Destroyed Sample // Resampling chords to death

Ricky Tinez

"So after my last Digitakt Resample video [below] I was hit up asking to redo it but slightyl differently this time. So now, i've taken a sample and sped it up as fast as possible, resampled that and stretched it back down. This method created lo-fi chords instantly almost too lofi haha!"

*Zelda Month* VGM #180: Molgera - Wind Waker [Synthwave Cover]

Amie Waters

"#Zeldamonth is finally here! I know I am running super late, but putting out Anointed Merit took more time than expected, and then I just had to cover RNC so things got delayed. But, I think the wait will be worth it. Here's my first cover and it is quite the banger. There will still be 3 more Zelda covers, regardless of how long they take me to finish, so know that you are getting the full Zelda Month experience, even if it extends to December.

Casio MT-400V keyboard demo - "Electric Sunrise"

Alfonse

"Casio Casiotone MT-400V keyboard (1984)

One of Casio's most unique early experiments in the home keyboard arena, at its heart the MT400V has some fairly standard Casiotone rhythms and voices, but someone had the bright idea of giving the user control over the analogue filter envelope (attack, sustain and decay), cutoff and resonance. As well as applying this to the voices, you can also filter the rhythms and auto accompaniment. There's a stereo chorus with adjustable speed which can be switched to act like an LFO modulating the filter, an effect which Casio quite accurately describes as Waw. Add in bass and chord variations and analogue drums and you've got a great little lo-fi synth and groovebox.

All sounds you hear in the track were made using the MT-400V and recorded to a DAW, where compression, EQ, and reverb were added as required. Individual kick and snare drum hits were sampled from the rhythms in order to have more control over levels in the mix, and the Disco, 16 Beat and Bossa Nova patterns were then recreated in the DAW.

You can support the creating of these videos by buying the music at https://alfonse.bandcamp.com

"Polyphony - 21 voices Multitimbral - 16 parts Oscillators - 2 Waveforms - ROM LFO - 1 LFO VCA/Envelopes - 1 VCA with ADSR Envelope Controls - MIDI In/Out/Thru Arpeggiator - Built-in arpeggiator synced to MIDI clock Songs - 1 Demo Song Effects - Chorus, vibrato, delays, vocoder, filters, reverbs Memory - 1000 single sounds in ROM, 200 performance layer sounds

The Quasar is an early nineties synthesizer from Germany company Quasimidi. Although it is a digital synth, the Quasar was an early attempt at simulating vintage analog sounds without using an oscillator. Instead, the Quasar featured Multi-Algorithm Sound Synthesis or M.A.S.S. for short. Quasar comes with a selection of 1000 onboard sounds, but what makes them unique compared to the competition of the time was that they were all processed using different synthesis techniques. It features the standard 16 parts expected from a synth module, including a drum-part and all of them can be used at the same time. Also, the Quasar has 64 note polyphony and is compatible with GM."
