The Voice of Saturn Synthesizer Eurorack Module

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction

"This is my first run of production prototype Voice of Saturn Synthesizer Eurorack modules. The guts are the same as the original Voice of Saturn Synth of which there are tons of videos on the web but I've finally got around to adapting it to the Eurorack standard. The synth features 2 oscillators that are coupled with each other to create anything from deep brutal bass tones, to crazy sync effects to screaming noise. There is also an onboard LFO that can either modulate the overall range of the oscillators or be sent to an output for external control. CV1 controls the rate of the LFO and has an attenuator, while CV2 controls the pitch of the osciallators. This does not scale according to the 1v/oct standard, rather it is an unbuffered, unpredictable module that is perfect for sound effects, drones, as a cv source, or other experimental applications. These are being offered at a slight discount due to a manufacturing issue with the panel, where the top mounting hole were drilled too low and I had to extend them. This does not effect the functionality whatsoever and the panels mount perfectly in a system. Each module comes with 4 mounting screws and a power cable. Demo Video:" [previously posted here]

The Voice of Saturn Synthesizer Euro format

YouTube Uploaded by recompas on Mar 29, 2012

"Introducing the Voice of Saturn Synth in euro modular format! Modules available in limited quantity from me: recompas at gmail dot com

curiousinventor.com has pcbs, panels and vactrols for the DIY crowd.

The video demonstrates the basic sound of the unit by itself, then run through a filter (buchla 292c) with the VoS LFO modulating the filter cutoff. The CV1 input is demonstrated using a standard doepfer LFO. It has an attenuator on the panel and controls the rate of the VoS's LFO. CV2 is fed an oscillator signal to modulate the pitch of the VoS. Towards the end of the video some interesting mod and sync effects can be heard utilizing these control inputs."

Voice of Saturn ANALOG Sequencer CV / Gate / S-trig

via this auction

"This is a 10 step analog sequencer, which steps through 10 different voltage levels that are set by the knobs. The output control voltage and trigger signals are typically used to control pitch, filters, drum triggers and an endless number of other parameters on other synths. Features / Specs: 10 steps, sequence can be shortened by connecting 1/8" cable from step to reset jack Voltage Out from 0 to ~7.5V Gate out and S-Trigger out for older Moogs Clock input / output to connect multiple sequencers ( for sync'ing, not extending sequence) Hold Switch pauses sequence, manually steps when clock is off. Takes a 9V Battery or Power Supply (AC or DC 12V, not included), fully assembled."

VMeter USB Touch Strip MIDI Controller Now Available For Order

via Rickard on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge: "Just ordered myself an Vmeter, damn how i accumulate gadgets...will be fun to make PD-patches and stuff for it though!"

"VMeter™ (beta) is a USB MIDI touch strip controller & display. Touch location, on/off state and pressure can all be routed to MIDI controllers. The lights can also be controlled by MIDI messages.

The protocol and computer-side software is open, so it can be re-purposed as any general I/O device you would like. It follows USB HID protocol (like a mouse or keyboard), making the VMeter usable by any USB host controller, even a host shield for arduino.

Control any music software that accepts MIDI controller messages
Textured touch strip guides finger
Compatible with OS X 10.3+, Windows XP, Vista and 7
Connects via USB cable
8 inner capacitive sensors mappable for quasi-multi touch
Dimmable blue LEDs (brightness mappable)
USB HID protocol makes it accessible as general purpose I/O device
Upside-down mode reverses LED direction for mounting flexibility
Open-source computer-side software
Can control / display system volume. Nice for full screen video volume adjustments.
Lights mappable to MIDI controllers
Software supports one VMeter now, multi-support coming in Sept."
