"I've got another Solar42 Ambient Performance for you, today! This time I wanted to utilize the step sequencer and make a more rhythmic and dark ambient jam; like something you would hear out of a cyberpunk movie scene! I chose the Japanese scale in the Solar42f tuning menu and went with the Ochre free-run looping reverse delay FX card. I think this jam came out really nice and cinematic! This is why eurorack exists to me. I would never come to these sorts of results through any other workflow or gear, would never stumble on these harmonies or gently cascading notes, would never feel out the song progression on a computer or even with a more traditional hardware setup. There are many things eurorack doesn't do as well, but moments like this make me realize why it's so special.

"The Elta TSC12 Touch Sensitive Controller may remind you of the SOLAR 42F Drone Ambient Machine, the multi VCO-desktop synth. Obviously, the TSC12 is only the touch panel which can control a a single voice with V/OCT and pressure, two voices with dual V/OCT, or a split cofiguration with voice and an arpeggiator or sequencer. The TSC12 supports easy note configuration for 12 keys where you can pick any note from any octave. It also supports default- and user scales. Even though the TSC12 is simple to use, it allows you to create really complex and expressive patches through human interaction, combined with sequenced or arped automation. Obviously it's great for playing live drones and ambient music, but you'll need to build your own SOLAR case layout."

WARNING! Before using the device, turn it on for 5-7 minutes and let it stand. The control transistor should warm up. So that in SOFT mode there is no feedback when the FREQ knobs are in zero position. If you overdo it. The UD1208 chips used in the filter are very sensitive and are never the same. Therefore you will not mathematically get two identical filters. Which is an advantage when using the unit in stereo.
