EMW WCS-X Synthesizer Update: Transient Sample Player
video upload by EMW Synthesizers
"This video showcases the new transient sample player added to the WCS-X.
The transient module can replace Oscillator 3, allowing you to choose between three oscillators or two oscillators plus transients. With a library of 64 transient samples, it adds a new layer of attack, punch, and character to the sound.
Thanks for watching!"

Casio FZ-1 – Installing the New OLED Display Kit
video upload by EMW Synthesizers
Addtional EMW Casio posts
"INFORMATION
The project works perfectly for normal use of the FZ-1, FZ-10M and FZ-20M. All menu screens, editing pages, sampling functions, parameters and general operation display correctly. Only a few fully graphical screens, such as Hand Drawing, Sin Synthesis and Graphic Envelope, may show minor pixel irregularities. This does not affect usability in any way; these functions continue to work normally and the issue is purely visual.
As I no longer have time to continue development, I do not plan to refine these small graphical details. Even so, the kit leaves the FZ fully usable, which is exactly what allowed me to bring my own FZ-1 and FZ-20M back to life and use them normally again.
FZ-1 Kit
For the FZ-1, we supply a complete kit, including:
A dedicated support with the logic board.
A second support with the new OLED display that fits perfectly into the original display mounting position.
Installation requires no soldering and no special skills. The kit uses the original FZ-1 mounting screws, and the entire installation can be completed in under 20 minutes.
Please watch the FZ-1 installation video on our YouTube channel for a full step-by-step demonstration.
FZ-10M and FZ-20M Kit
For the FZ-10M and FZ-20M, we supply a single integrated assembly including the support, logic board and display. This assembly fits perfectly into the original display location of the module.
Installation is very simple, requires no soldering, and typically takes around 15 minutes. The process is also demonstrated in the installation video available on our YouTube channel.
Pricing and Ordering
The price for the kit (logic board, display, supports and cables) is US$249.00 + shipping.

CASIO FZ-10M / FZ-20M New OLED Display connection.
video upload by EMW Synthesizers
"The project works perfectly for normal use of the FZ-1, FZ-10M and FZ-20M. All menu screens, editing pages, sampling functions, parameters and general operation display correctly. Only a few fully-graphical screens — such as Hand Drawing, Sin Synthesis and Envelope — show small pixel irregularities. This doesn’t affect usability at all; those functions still work normally, it’s only a visual detail.
Since I no longer have time to continue development, I don’t plan to refine those small graphical variations. Even so, the kit leaves the FZ fully usable, which is exactly what allowed me to bring my own FZ-1 and FZ-20M back to life and use them normally again.
For the FZ-10M and FZ-20M, the kit is supplied already mounted on a dedicated support/bracket. You simply remove the original display module and install the new assembly in the same place, as shown in the video. This makes the upgrade very straightforward for these models.
For the FZ-1, I provide the logic board, the display and the cables for connection. In this case, the internal mechanical mounting and support are left to each user, who can adapt the installation to their own unit. It’s not difficult, but it does require some basic DIY skill.
The price for the board, display and cables is $199.00 + shipping. The payment must be made to our PayPal registered account: info@electronicmusicworks.com
If you are interested just send an email to: info@electronicmusicworks.com
Note: We are currently unable to ship to the United States, as our mail service is still adjusting its system to the new tariff policies."

video upload by POPTRONIC
The above is a rework of a 1996 track by EMW's (Electronic Music Works) Paulo S. Santos aka PS Project. The piece features some of his ear VCF progject: "I'm excited to share that I'm launching a musical project featuring a remastered version of a track I composed many years ago, titled 'WORDS.' This piece showcases sounds from my early VCF projects."
YouTube description follows:
"WORDS A 1996 electronic track reborn. This newly remastered version bridges past and present in a hypnotic audiovisual journey. Enjoy!

EMW WCS-1x

"EMW WCS-1x Digital/Analog hybrid monosynth in excellent cosmetic and fully functional condition. I bought this after hearing it at a trade show. The multimode filter sounds amazing, super punchy and does incredible bass sounds, but also strange SH-03 style timbers.
The WCS-1x uses a DSP-based "Wave Composition Oscillator". The WCO's toggle switches allow you to access several waveshapes ( -including a fundamental square, a sub-octave, an "acid ring" waveform -which adds an aggressive edge to your sound, a sawtooth as well as a square wave -routed through either a bandpass or low pass filter -depending upon their respective toggle's position ). The WCO's toggle switches also allow you to select various octave settings ( +1 Octave, +3 Octaves or the fundamental's ). The LFO wave toggle allows you to select either a triangle or square wave for modulation purposes. At the top left corner of the WCO section is a MIDI channel button ( -with a "Gate" and "Learn" LED ). Next to it, you'll find a glide + and - ( portamento ) toggle switch. An unconventional arrangement but it works once you get used to it.
The remainder of the WCS-1x's controls are more straight forward knobs. You get one each for filter cut-off, filter resonance, filter envelope modulation, filter LFO modulation ( amount ) with the last knob to the right controlling the LFO's frequency. Below the filter section you'll find four knobs for controlling VCA attack, decay, sustain and release envelope segments. The knobs have a smooth, rock solid feel as you turn them."

EMW Introduces NOISE CINEMA "innovative Eurorack module designed to transcend traditional boundaries"
"Step into a landscape of new sounds with our NOISE CINEMA, an innovative Eurorack module designed to transcend traditional boundaries. This module offers synthesizer enthusiasts the unique ability to shape and manipulate noise, creating atmospheres that capture the essence of imaginary scenes and intense experiences.
With NOISE CINEMA, every adjustment is a journey to the heart of sound, where noise becomes the protagonist of your soundtrack. From soft whispers to tumultuous sonic storms, the possibilities are limitless. Equipped with intuitive controls such as Morph, which smoothly transitions between 10 noise atmospheres, continuous or envelope modes, sample rate reduction, a special tone control, and a digital delay, this module allows for detailed and deep exploration of sound textures.
Ideal for musicians, producers, and sound designers seeking to expand their creative horizons, NOISE CINEMA is more than a module—it's a gateway to a world where sound shapes vision and emotion. Turn noises into narratives, atmospheres into adventures, and the ordinary into the extraordinary.
It will be available for order from EMW's website at www.electronicmusicworks.com starting next week.
NOISE CINEMA, because every sound tells a story."

JLR's Modular Synthesizers - System Breakdown #7 -
video upload by John L Rice
"This is the seventh video breakdown/rundown for my 'physically largest' eurorack 'Table Case' system although it only has 23 modules in it and ranks only 4th place for most modules out of my 7 eurorack systems! It houses a majority of my Synthrotek/Division 6/Mattson modules. Next time I'll do a small 5U system in an angled desktop case. Please subscribe to my channel and click the 'bell' button to be notified when I post new videos! (because as you may know, I post inconsistently! 😒😊)
