Jered is currently taking some time away. He is no longer involved in the day to day. After 25 years plus, he needed a break. He is still amongst us in our design team and will hopefully always be a part of FR. An expanded team has taken over to spread out the necessary tasks amongst a small number of professional people. We have big plans but we aren't changing the Future Retro brand or character in any way.

Also, we are currently trying to fix our website and set up emails. Jered will still have an email at future retro but we are working diligently to fix some issues on that end. Please be patient with us, we aren't finished yet!"

The Future Retro 777 is a monophonic analog synthesizer with a digital sequencer. It employs analog circuitry and has a lot of hands-on knobs for instant sound tweaking. Please look online for further descriptions of this now classic legendary unit.

Only single blemish is one of the feet is missing - refer picture."

According to FR in the comments: "That would have been the first or second 777 ever sold. That belonged to Dennis Barton (RIP) of Skylab2000."

"exceptional analog mono synthesizer. inspired by the icons of synth history: Moog CP3 Type Mixer, Roland TB-303 distortion, Sequential Circuits Pro One modulations. Two different envelope curves can be selected via Velocity for accents.

The device is not new, there is some slight bleed in the mix section, and sometimes the MIDI pitch tracking is lost, then it needs a restart. no big deal, I'll mention it here that there are no disappointments.

"Hello Dear Friends - I recently watched an interesting talk here on YouTube by musicologist Ted Gioia, where he posits that when music is at least ten minutes long, the listener's brainwaves sync up with the rhythm of the music, and can create a trance state. So with this idea in mind, I decided to record a longer piece to attempt to produce this trance state. The tools I used are the Future Retro Zillion to generate the notes into the ASM Hydrasynth. No other treatments or external devices were used to create this piece. Every sound is made by the Hydrasynth in one take.

A tip of the hat to Jeffery Beach of Beachfront Productions, for providing free use video clips on his website.

Does it work? You tell me. This sort of thing isn’t for everyone, but if you enjoy lying back, closing your eyes and meditating to pseudo-random generative style music, this just might be your cup of bananas.
