Airböurne Synthesizer auf der Musikmesse
Pictured here is the Airböurne AVS-04 from Martin Hollinger of Synthorama, a synthesizer museum in Switzerland. You can find a video of the AVX-04 at this year's Musikmesse at Synthesizer-Magazin. To get to the video click on the AVS-04 link. It will take you to the page dedicated to the AVS-04 on sequencer.de. Once there, do a find in your browser for Video and you should see it, and of course check out all of the other info on the AVS-04 while there.

MOOG Minimoog Voyager OS Stolen from the Musikmesse?
Word from Amos of MOOG Music on the Analog Heaven list is that this Voyager OS listed on Ebay.de was stolen from the Frankfurt Musikmesse.
"So some clever fellow stole one of the world's only Voyager Old School prototypes from the Frankfurt Musikmesse... and lo and behold, it is on German eBay! My good friend Jens Steinmeyer called me from Germany to alert me to this one. It's .de item number 180224511106, see for yourself. Jens has alerted the local constabulary, but if there is anything else the global analog community can do to make sure that the thief is caught, by all means lend a hand... thanks!"
Update: BTW, Amos has requested that Ebay not be notified so the local authorities can follow through.
Update via actuel in the comments: "Elektron the same night had a Monomachine MKII & Machinedrum/UW MKII also stolen. I will definitely point them to this Ebay seller."
Update: The thief has been caught!!! via Amos of MOOG Music:
"UPDATE: The thief has been caught, and Moog and Elektron were not the only victims! Here's the news via Stefan Hund of EMC (Moog distributor in Germany):
"YES, we were sucessful. Because this guy was so stupid to offer the prototype at Ebay, the police did get his address very quickly from Ebay monday morning and arrested him monday aftersoon with house search!! The police found a lot of stolen stuff including the Voyager OS. This guy was "singing like a bird" and told did steal stuff from 7!! more other companies.
In present the OS is safe at the police station at Frankfurt, will pickup the unit next week."
Cheers,
Amos"
genoQs Officially Announces the Nemo
I just received the following email:
"Dear all,
we are excited to just having announced NEMO - our new MIDI sequencer!
Based on the technology already proven with Octopus, NEMO is a high-end machine, continuing our tradition of 'realtime everything' MIDI instruments.
With the interaction and function model of Octopus being adapted to a new interface, NEMO's particular strength lies in its compact, portable format. Its design is high-end, and the build level of our machines is already proverbial - Nemo makes no exception. Further details will be available on our site in the coming days. [NOTE: there is some preliminary info up now, so do check it out.]
Nemo will be available starting July 1st, 2008 for a price of 1399.- EUR.
Proudly, NEMO was first shown to the public at the Musikmesse 2008 and the feedback received by far exceeded our already high expectations.
We are accepting pre-orders for Nemo now, and pre-orders placed before April 1st, 2008 will be granted a 10% discount.
Furthermore, we are shifting the Octopus production from the Legacy model to "New Classic" Machines. These will feature the same black wood as the already legendary "Black Sea" with a white panel and red/green/yellow LEDs.
New Classic Octopus is available now and priced at 2599.- EUR. Also, Legacy Octopus machines are still available in limited quantities at the unchanged price of 2399.- EUR.
Once again - we are very delighted to break these news to you, and thank you, valued customers, users and interested parties alike, for your ever growing support, continuous dedication and trust!

Schneiders Buero's Stecken Schrauben Spilen
via Jan:
"i just got off the Musikmesse in Frankfurt (nice evening) with Herrn Schneider from Schneidersbuero / Schneidersladen and he handed me over one book he recently produced:
Look for yourself: [link]
He released a book ( price is around 7 EUR ) covering the history of schneidersbuero with respect to analog synthesizers. Nice photos, dual language footage. Another classic ! You'll get inside information about the analog "makers" of the synths including Cwejmen, MacBeth, Technosaurus, Metasonix and much more.
Lots of pictures, nice to read. Has multiple sections. It's really a - must-have- for the music fan. I think it is buyable at his shop after the fair. Just drop him a visit"
Excellent! I will add this to the Synth Books section on the right of the sight. Update: It's added along with a couple of other books/publications on their site. Remember, Stecken Schrauben Spilen will probably be listed at his shop after the fair. You can reach him via the contact info on the bottom left of the literature shop here.
