"DSP-99 is based on Wavefront AL3201 DSP chip, Cirrus Logic CS4220 audio codec and Atmega8AU for control and display.

It has 100 programs, although many of them differ little. Nonetheless it's quite good investment for this money.

As DSP has rather low signal level tolerance (compared to eurorack levels), clipping indicator was included. Signal indicator was also added for convenience."

"A friend gifted me a cheap toy musical keyboard. The sound quality was atrocious, and it could only play one note at a time. So I removed its circuitry while keeping its enclosure, speaker, and keybed, and with some tinkering and a Raspberry Pi Pico I turned it into something usable.

I integrated a software synthesizer into the Pico. It's pico_synth_ex by Ryo Ishigaki - ISGK Instruments. The new engine boasts two oscillators, featuring descending sawtooth and square waveforms, a customizable filter with resonance control, cutoff modulation, a Decay-Sustain amp envelope, and an LFO for added modulation possibilities.

This video shows the makeover. The soundtrack is entirely played on the Picophonica, recorded one instrument at a time through the new audio out port.

We know that Eurorack Synthesis (or Modular Synthesizers) can seem inaccessible due to its reputation for being expensive and complicated.

That's why we decided to design a modular system that is affordable without compromising on quality. My First Modular is a low cost eurorack modular system, with a precise selection of modules for beginners, versatile and with simple and colorful interfaces. As we are designers and musicians we have made an instrument with the basics to express your musical creativity.

This Opensource Synth design proposal aims to be the most accessible eurorack modular system that exists, where anyone with a little knowledge can use our templates and codes to produce their own modules and, like us, improve them and make them available to the whole community.

This crowdfunding project will allow us to finance the development and manufacturing of the first complete systems, therefore the current price is only for this campaign. Most likely in the future the price of the system and the modules may vary.

Affordability: We have designed our Eurorack Module system to be the most affordable option for electronic music lovers. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experiment with electronic sounds without going broke.

Ease of Use: Our system is beginner-friendly, which means that even if you're new to Eurorack, you'll be able to start creating music right away. No advanced technical knowledge is required. We deliver the modules pre-built without the need for soldering.

"This module is composed of two Sallen-Key low pass filters designed to be used on very low frequencies. When pitch control voltages are processed through this, it creates a portamento which then turns into vibrato. Depending on resonance control, this vibrato can die out almost immediately or go on for the duration of the note. When used with envelope generators, this module can be used to add extra "bumpiness" to an envelope signal allowing for more harmonic content. With a gate signal, the module can be used as a simple envelope generator with equal sloped attack and release.

This design can be used with +/-15V systems without modification"

"This module is composed of two voltage controlled comparators which are gate outputs that turn on when an input voltage exceeds a threshold voltage. Four additional gate outputs turn off and on depending on the relative outputs of the comparators. This was initially designed as a way to add soft-sync features to VCOs that only have hard-sync, but has also been useful for turning envelope generators into gated loops

This design can be used with +/-15V systems with a few resistor value changes."

"YM2413 SYNTH - Testing sounds from the homemade OPLL mini FM synthesizer. Roland XP50 keyboard used as controller, to send MIDI notes, program and control changes to the YM2413 module and the audio goes to the audio interface.

This is my project of a YM2413 FM Synth MIDI Module, already assbembled in a purple printed circuit board.

The YM2413 chip (known as OPLL), which is 2 operator FM musical synthesizer that uses FM synthesis (frequency modulation) to generate timbres. In this YM2413 based musical instrument I am using the Arduino Nano to control the YM's internal registers.

The YM2413 was used in:
-Yamaha PSS-170 and PSS-270 keyboards in 1986;
-Yamaha SHS-10 shoulder keyboard in 1987, and the Yamaha PSS-140 and Yamaha SHS-200 in 1988;
-Yamaha PSR-6 keyboard in 1988;
-Sega Master System, MSX, Atari Games Rampart arcade game;
