Ghosts Believe In Us (Live Sequential Pro 3 Synth Jam)

video by

Pro 3 comes in at 1:53.

"I live next to a cemetery - the perfect place to lug the Sequential Pro 3 & record a lead synth jam for a song called "Ghosts Believe In Us." We also recorded some of Matt's guitar parts outside of his work as seen/heard in this video.

Recorded at various locations over 2 years, including the filmed shoots here.
Guest artists: Matt Kretzmann (rhythm guitar), Byron Lynch (lead guitar)
Written by: MKDVB (Davy Bui) w/ Kretzmann, Lynch
Gear used: Synthstrom Deluge, Moog Matriarch, Sequential Pro 3, Korg Microkorg

Are ghosts real? Do they exist as supernatural entities?

Do they need to be real to haunt us?

We're all haunted by something, aren't we?

Haunted by weight of expectations, past traumas, unlived history, unrealized fears. Haunted by genetics, circumstance or serendipity.

Yes, Ghosts Believe In Us but whether it's our better or our worst ones is entirely up to us.

I hesitate to expound too much about this track because my ghosts are different than yours. Some of the ghosts that inspired this song have since faded; some will never go away. But I know they believe in us - they affect and impact us everyday."

In Motion, Moog Sequencer | Moog Grandmother, Synthstrom Audible Deluge

video by Chris Hunt

"You are in motion... slow motion. Close your eyes and imagine your walk to work, your walk to school, your drive home, your weekend hike, your morning jog, your dog walk... in slow motion. Dust is rising from your shoes. Sun is glaring in your eyes. The world seems interesting and you are giving this your full attention. Your phone is left at home. You are not wearing headphones. You can hear the birds, but they sound like dinosaurs because... slow motion."

Electronic (toothbrush) Music | Moog Grandmother, Sonicare Toothbrush

video by Chris Hunt

Note the above is a playlist with additional music videos by Chris Hunt. Many feature Synthstrom Audible's Deluge.

"After years of daily practice, I'm pleased to present my first piece with the Sonicare electric toothbrush. In normal 'cleaning mode' it operates at a perfect C4. In this piece, I have toggled the toothbrush to 'whitening mode' to move that up to an E4. This is accompanied by some layers on the Moog Grandmother."

Spotted on discchord.

My ASM Hydrasynth Review my opinion : a few tricks, features, ...problems

"This video takes an in-depth look at some features on the ASM Hydrasynth:
• the hidden menu pages
• unusual features
• tricks
• shortcuts
• clarifications
• demonstrations of the effects, macros, etc.
• also includes a list of 'issues' - problematic design elements and operational shortcomings

This is my independent review - not sanctioned, endorsed or requested by ASM - and I have received no compensation from the manufacturer in any way (it is not a complete review of the synthesizer - by any stretch, it just addresses some things I hadn't seen mentioned in other YT videos)"

TASCAM PORTA ONE & DELUGE // Magic of the TAPE

Dexba

"I just received my multitrack tape recorder, and I so pumped up. I've never used one, I've watched some demo and many, MANY videos on YouTube (and Instagram, where it seems to be mandatory). I will keep it simple: it sounds amazing. I am the farthest thing from an audio expert, but there is something really pleasing in the way the otherwise normal drums sound: they're at the same time crispy and soft, tight but rubbery. Loving that.

And, with the recording part taken care of, I could improvise a little bit with my guitar, and BAM, magic happened, and in just a few takes I was very satisfied with the result like I am almost never been since!

So guys, do yourselves a favor and buy a multitrack tape recorder (they are cheap), a guitar (they are also VERY cheap, nothing compared to a synthesizer), and maybe a Synthstrom Deluge too (they are not cheap, but they are sort of priceless for a quick idea laydown)."
