"Yamaha’s Tenori-on is a really fun and unusual piece of electronics. The software included allows you to program your own sounds via the SD card ( not included) but any standard one works. It’s in good condition. No dents. All the buttons on the front are operational. All the lights in the back work. I am including a plexiglass stand with the tenori-on. It has an awesome clock function when you are not making music and looks great in the stand at night."

Happy Easter with my Synths!

Published on Mar 30, 2018 heckenschreck

"Jamming with some of my favourite Synths. Memorymoog plays a Sequence synced 24ppqn, Linndrum synced 48ppqn, Quadra modified for Trigger Sync and CS-30 driven by Midi-synced Tenori-On. Imperfect solos are not really intended but unavoidable... and the ending should have been an end, not a sheer stop...
Anyway, thanks for watching - and - happy easter!"

Yamaha Joins with Allihoopa to Give TENORI-ON Musicians the Optimal Sharing Experience

The press release:

"BUENA PARK, Calif. (March 13, 2018) – Yamaha has partnered with social network Allihoopa, empowering users of the Yamaha TNR mobile music-making apps to share their work and collaborate online.

The two iOS apps make up the mobile version of the Yamaha TENORI-ON, the groundbreaking electronic musical instrument. These apps allow intuitive music creation via a simple, user-friendly interface, without the need for specialized training.

The Allihoopa partnership allows musicians to collaborate with the world using a mobile device. TNR-iOS users create music using the original TNR-i and its electronic-music counterpart, TNR-e. Once they have a finished piece, they can “Drop” it and share directly with the Allihoopa community. From there, others can 'Pick Up' the track, add recording elements of their choosing and 'Drop' it back to Allihoopa for further collaboration.

'TNR-i and TNR-e users now have a new way to share and collaborate with others,' says Nate Tschetter, marketing manager, Music Production, Yamaha Corporation of America. 'Yamaha and Allihoopa encourage creativity by helping music-makers around the world share ideas and inspire each other.'

For more information about the iOS version of the world-renowned TENORI-ON, please visit http://4wrd.it/TENORI-ONIOS

Tenori Sounds by Marcus Padrini

Published on Jun 10, 2017 Marcus Padrini

"The Tenori-on is an amazing electronic musical instrument designed by Toshio Iwai /Yu Nishibori and produced by Yamaha. It offers basic sounds, but is a different way to make music, great for sequences, patterns and randomness.

Tenori Sounds contains 9 tracks created entirely on Tenori-on, with no external fx. Recorded with AudioShare and Audio Mastering for iPad.

Excerpts from Mark Mosher "Marooned" Live Textures Ambient Showcase

Published on Apr 28, 2015

https://markmosher.bandcamp.com/album...

"I performed 'Marooned', a my 20-minute cinematic electronic soundscape in 7 movements, on April 26th, 2015 at the Textures Ambient Showcase at the Mutiny Information Cafe in Denver. This is 3m30so video of excerpts from that show shot with a GoPro I had on a bookcase behind me.

Marooned is an original cinematic electronic soundscape. I think of it as a score for a film yet to be made. An Earth ship crashes on a massive moon and the only hope for the crew's survival is making it across a harsh landscape to an alien outpost for a first, and uninvited, encounter.

This soundscape is in the same universe and is a prequel to my alien invasion concept album series Reboot, I Hear Your Signals, and Fear Cannot Save Us. Unlike the first three albums which contained shorter composed and often groove-based songs, this album contains a single long-form recording combining electronic tonalities and abstract expressionist music.

This work is an example of live sonic storytelling and was recorded in one pass (with no prerecorded sequences, overdubs, or edits) after weeks of improvising and rehearsal.

New ELECTRIBE 2 Review! Part - D MIDI control, feat TENORI - ON

Published on Jan 12, 2015 VJ FRANZ K

"World's First? Tenori-On controlling Electribe 2! A Great Combination!
This is an example of using external MIDI input to control the Electribe 2, you could also use a laptop, iPad or some other type of sequencer. This is just a simple "proof of concept" but I go into a lot of detail about both these machines - if you are a fan of either, this how-to discussion will interest you!"
