The Obama Board: Build Your Own Obama Speech

YouTube Uploaded by makemagazine on Jul 31, 2011

"Created by Ashley Lewis, The Obama Board is a new twist on a traditional musical keyboard. Instead of a musical note, each key, when pressed emits the sound of a word from Barack Obama's inauguration speech. Press the keys in the sequence of your choice to create you own speech!"

Would You Like to Tap My Box?

Would You Like to Tap My Box? from Micah Frank on Vimeo.

"In the 2nd half of 2008, I brought various drum machines with me wherever I traveled. In passing time I documented the machines in different locations, collecting a visual and aural diary - from hotel rooms in LA to driving through the Canadian wilderness to my home in Brooklyn. This visual adventure has uniquely encapsulated an important period of my life that isn't expressed in words or photos, but 'bleeps' and 'blips'.

While the audio was overdubbed in post-production, the sound sources accurately represent the machine depicted."
