IDM Creation - SPARK LE Pt. D + MINIBRUTE "Ordinator Calibration"

"Steps of Creation for an IDM Track, using the SPARK LE for beats, and the MINIBRUTE for synth notes. Both were intentionally set to create various "glitch" type sounds. All was recorded into Ableton Live 9, where the sounds were chopped up further.

'Ordinateur' is the French word for Computer.

This music is my original composition using these instruments, it's called "Ordinator Calibration", the faintly heard voice is my own, going through weird effects."

"You can't hear it, but the outside is complete. It's similar to the RD808 in the previous videos, but has the 909 "Computer Key" buttons on the Step Sequencer as it should. This was inspired by of my favorite classic drum machines, so I am looking forward to playing it!"

"'Hard Tuned' Voices are more popular than ever. What will a user of the Voice Transformer 3 think, when presented with the new VT4? There are definitely similarities in sound, the VT4 has some useful new options. With either one, you're going to want to practice a while to get the best sound out of it - you have to "sing into" the effects in a certain way to get the best pitch tracking out them, for example.
Things do get a bit silly, I wasn't totally able to hear in the crowded convention hall!"

"This is a prototype of the Berhinger 808 (much talked about) that I got to try at Music Tribe, and they approved my filming it for you to see! I liked it overall.
This recording was the audio in the room (see my other videos with Direct Audio) so you can also hear the sound of the keys: The Step Sequencer buttons are "clicky" with a slightly soft action. The other buttons are standard rubber "groovebox" feel. The knobs have a solid feel, and are rubberized. The unit is metal and plastic with a medium weight. (Better than playing a drum machine that's too small! B - ) Yes, the 808 has those clicky RS sounds, which are one of my favorites."

"In this jam, I made a 3/4 beat on the Volca, and 4/4 3/4 and 5/4 elements on the Electribe 2!
( You can set a different "Last Step" for each "Part" if you want! But sequencer must be stopped to change it. )
Also, I'm using the Step Jump and Active Step features.
All these rhythms are drifting in and out of sync in interesting ways…
And there's a Kaoss Pad 3 off scene adding extra FX to the E2M."

"I'm trying out the step sequencing - I'm no expert with Elektron machines, but I can tell you the drums are very crisp, and hard hitting - perfect, as you would expect, for electro beats. ( There is a lot of background noise from the demonstration hall at NAMM! )

"When we stayed up all night..." I made this melody with my Deluge synthesizer, and I'm trying out vocal phrases to be the lyrics. This is often my song writing process - try things out and see what works best.
and I'm particularly interested in looping with the Deluge because soon the OS will be updated with an Audio Looper.
