Generative Patches: DFAM+Mother-32+Subharmonicon. Jam Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
π DMS Generative is a collection of 25 patches for the semi-modular system Moog Sound Studio: DFAM + Mother-32 + Subharmonicon. This genre of sound design is highly popular within modular culture, and the Moog Sound Studio offers an excellent feature set to explore it.
π Controlled chaos and randomness, probability, non-repetitiveness, tempo shifts, pattern uniqueness, the alternation of short and long sounds, unexpected changes, silence and density, harmonic and FX-like tones, and glitchy bursts throughout sequences — all of these elements are part of the soundset.
π Generative timbres can serve as a strong addition to, or the main element of, ambient or techno tracks, jams, and performances. You can also record fragments into your DAW or sampler, slice them into one-shots or loops, and obtain unique material for further processing.
π¦ Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/moog...
πΉ The key idea behind the soundset is a high level of interconnection. In this patchbook, the timbres of the synths are intertwined — they cannot exist independently:
πΉ They modulate each other with LFOs and envelopes.
πΉ A sequence from one synth may change parameters on another.
πΉ Trigger interactions, clock/rhythm, and run/stop modulations break predictable patterns.
πΉ Audio signals from VCOs may be used as modulation sources to create harmonies, intervals, or wild experimental inharmonic tones.
πΉ Alternatively, they can be used as audio sources routed into another synth to be processed through its unique filter and envelope — giving the signal a “second life.”
DFAM, M32, and SUBH each play distinct and defined roles — it’s not a sound mess, but a tightly integrated system where the synths work in close cooperation.

AN UNEXPECTED PATH FORWARD
Labyrinth introduces a classic West Coast sound into the Mother Ecosystem experience rich analog synthesizer history in both surprising and recognizable sonic textures. Two generative sequencers bring to life sounds that bloom over time, letting you control their evolution and scale, then play them off of each other for striking polymetric melodies.
With parallel analog signal paths, this adventurous instrument shines when adding color to the steady backdrop of a drum pattern or bassline.
GENERATIVE SEQUENCER
The beating heart of Labyrinth is a robust dual sequencer, which uses chance calculations to generate two unique eight-step paths which twist and curve around one another.
SONIC WANDERING
A parallel voice processing path with a voltage-controlled blending allows you to morph sounds over time.
VOLTAGE-CONTROLLED WAVEFOLDER
A fresh interpretation of the Moog sound via a voltage-controlled wavefolder. Two oscillators drive duophonic melodic counterpoints, metallic FM tones, and analog synthetic drums.
Moog's semi-modular lineup expands to include the Labyrinth, a generative synthesizer that brings you two parallel sequencers, two oscillators, and endless possibilities. Based around a core sine VCO and a triangle Mod VCO, these sound sources have independent level controls, as well as a Ring Mod and Noise level control that all feed a saturating mixer that can add a touch or grit. From the mixer, we have the switchable option to go into a voltage controllable wave folder then into a classic Moog filter, the opposite with our filter going into the wave folder, or have both of these run in parallel. The heart of the Labyrinth is the sequencer section. A dual 8-step sequencer gives you interactive quantized melodies that can affect various parameters, based on the labeled trimmers. These sequencers send out both notes CV and triggers and with a Trig Mix you can get rhythmic interplay that is quite satisfying. Each sequencer has a Length settings and a Bit Shift when adjusts the position of activated steps. The Bit Flip and Corrupt parameters present gives you more randomness and serendipity allowing you to create evolving patterns.
As with all of their semi-modular synths, Moog gives you access to 32 patch point patchbay with 12 outputs and 20 inputs. This gives you the option to self-patch and integrate it into your existing Eurorack ecosystem. Moog's Labyrinth is the perfect expansion to your existing system or a great starting point as an entry to modular synthesis, especially for those who are looking to get expressive rhythmic patterns quickly.

Behringer Edge Modular Patches/Patterns/Samples No Talk Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"Behringer Edge «Modular Grooves» is a collection of 50 patches + patterns: 17 Percs/Drums, 16 Basses, 17 Synths. It is dedicated to the modular vibe, loved for its analog warm sound, experimental attitude, rich opportunities, unique features and tones, and inspirational workflow.
π The presets feature various colors: warm, noisy, detuned, distorted, as well as mild, clean, soft, punchy, dark, bright, deep, and airy.
Some timbres are great to play the first role in tracks or jams, while others will work perfectly as additional parts.
You may use the patches as they are, but I strongly recommend tweaking the knobs to develop the timbre during your performance and get an exciting experience.
π₯ Get the soundset: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/edge...
π½ The soundset also includes 24/41000 WAV samples, accompanied by BPM and scale information. You can use them as they are, or you're free to resample, edit, and apply effects. These samples offer a versatile material for your experimentation.
π The soundset is presented in PDF format. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its true depth.
π§ There are audio examples of all patches inside the folder with the soundset.
To recreate these patches, you need up to 3 patch cords.
Tuning is an important part of the final result, but it’s quite difficult to depict the settings of oscillators frequencies and sequencer knobs as they are quite small, and even a tiny movement may shift the pitch. I tried to be as accurate as possible to draw these settings (the way they play in the audio examples), but don’t be upset if you can’t recreate the same melody. You may spend some time to catch the same melody, or you may use the settings as a starting point for your own melodic or percussive lines.
I used an external USB clock from Ableton Live. When external clock is used, TEMPO knob has no effect, so I left its value on some default position. Only tempo division (SCALE) changes the playback. If you use EDGE as a master clock device, change TEMPO to your taste.
π The video contains demo tracks featuring these presets. I've added other samples, drums and pads, to create a complete musical context. The EDGE sequences can be quite complex, producing various timbres at once, like bass and percussion. To help you distinguish, I've marked the EDGE and ADDITIONAL SOUNDS with different colors.
These ADDITIONAL SOUNDS are not included in the soundset.

Elektron Syntakt. Techno and Electro Patterns
video upload by Adam Jay
"Some patterns I’ve made with Syntakt. No processing.
Things I love: The machines! The flexibility!
It can be so many things.
8 tracks of Model cycles chord machines with deeper control, 2x LFO per track, full envelopes, dual filters, p-lockable FX track. Or half a Rytm , plus new digital drum synth and bass/lead synth machines.
Or a mix between.
All with a tasty chunk of analog Heat drive, filter, and EG, but p-lockable!
There is an inverted envelope shape in the analog fx that I use as a master compressor. The drive is lovely. I also love using some of the analog kicks with a bandpass filter for textures. Can even get kinda of vinyl pops and clicks out of these.
Can have up to 3 simultaneous analog DVCO machines."

Elektron Syntakt : Live remake of "The Last V8" - C64 SID chiptune
video upload by tubesockor
"The brand new Elektron Syntakt is here!
I'm doing a brief overview, followed by a SID emulation rendition of Rob Hubbard's theme music for the C64 game 'The Last V8' from 1985. Then it grows into a live jam, using all the 12 digital and analog tracks of the Syntakt, including the features such as analog distortion.

12 Track Drum Computer & Synthesizer
Enter a sonic metropolis with Syntakt. Analog and Digital synthesis. Drum and melody. In full fusion.
All your sound crafting, sequencing, and performance needs are fulfilled, in an all-round music mega box that fits in your lap. Syntakt is a drum specialist, full of percussive possibilities, but its four analog and eight digital tracks can be used for melody, harmony, and bass sounds too. Experience epic sounds from the past, pulling others into existence from the future.
The streets of Syntakt are never-ending, the neon lights are never-dimming, its underground is fathomless. Discover worlds within worlds. Adore now. Explore forever.
Meet the machines
There are 35 sound-generating machines to call on, covering a wide range of drum and melodic sounds. Some machines have been reimagined from Analog Rytm and Model:Cycles, with deeper sound control for the latter, while others are entirely new to the world.
For you to create and personalize your sound, we’ve made sure you’ve got a set of parameter controls tailor-made for each machine. They let you quickly tweak the nature of each type of sound, showing you just the relevant options. Comprehensive without being overwhelming. Let loose with analog or digital overdrive, depending on the tracks you’re playing with.
The graphics more than play their part too, with plenty of animated icons offering visual guidance and extra clarity on how each parameter affects the sound. The joys of tweaking shouldn’t only be for the ears after all.
Special effects
Syntakt lets you route any of your synth tracks or external audio sources through the FX block. This gives you analog distortion and filtering, and a couple of LFOs to go to town with. Additionally, you can also call on Delay and Reverb as powerhouse send effects.
And all of the above effects can be sequenced with the FX track. Have them kick in at just the right moment. Add accents and dramatic changes to the selected tracks or external audio. Or use it as a master track for ducking and gating effects.
Modify the moment
Wield a little extra trig craft using the four modifiers, offering four varied levels of expression. Configure the first two modifiers to give you the retrig or velocity behavior you desire, and use the other two to access custom intensities of other parameters. They’re ready for action regardless of which synth track you’re using.
And the best bit is that they don’t just give you that extra playability fun in the here and now, you can also capture the moment by recording to the sequencer.
The keys to the city
Syntakt’s keyboard mode gives you a whole bunch of different scales to play with.
There are some familiar faces and some maybe a little less familiar for you to try out, helping you discover new places and taking things to another level.
Play across a single octave like on a piano keyboard. Or use fold, and have several octaves laid out in front of you.
Deep sound-shaping
Syntakt comes full of filter and envelope goodness. All tracks have a Multimode filter to put to use allowing you to emphasize different parts of your sound, with the digital tracks also able to call on Parametric EQ and a Base-width filter – an additional filter giving you even more sonic control.
Choose from two amplitude envelope types to define the ideal contour of your sound. Try out the ADSR envelope – for your wicked synth lines – or the simpler AHD envelope – perfect for transient percussive sounds.

"For day 7 of Jamuary I delved into some deep space ambient and chordal loneliness. Channelling feelings on loneliness in ourselves or within the random chord shifting ... romantic, emotional discussions aside I really enjoyed creating and then sitting within it's sound world for some time letting it play."

KORG grandstage vs Eventide Space - resonant space piano
Published on Mar 23, 2018
"If you like my stuff please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/ and https://www.patreon.com/theBURG
For those of you who have followed my channel for a while know that i have a thing for electric piano sounds. This weekend I was able to fulfill one of my biggest dreams after a long long wait, to get a proper fullsize piano into my studio.. the KORG grandstage.
There is something special playing on weighted keys, dynamics and the feel is just .. magic. Dont worry, the BURG is still here.. there will be no jazzpiano sessions.. just space jams, because that's what i do, i play the space piano :D And yeah, I will keep the yamaha reface CP, it is a lovely little piano and it will be coming with me on live gigs etc.
On the grandstage i have sound 046, Tine Mark I rhodes sound (no internal FX), a mono signal goes into the CSIDMAN - ditto - particle - eventide and then into my H5 zoom recorder. In the eventide space i am using the blackhole algorithm with the resonance cranked pretty high.. i love how the sound just breaks up and almost distorts when i hammer the keys hard. There is a fair bit of resonating and ringing going on so be moderate with the volume the first round you play it.
Hope you will enjoy it!
Gear used: KORG grandstage
FX: Catalinbread CSIDMAN, tc electronic ditto X2, red panda particle, Eventide space
BooooM!"
