"This was originally intended to be a demo of the my tube VCA module, but it kinda turned into this weird sequenced thinger.
Synth 1 -
XRVCO Triangle to wavefoler, XRVCO square -1 octave both go to MS20 VCF and then into the pentode tube VCA.
Synth 1 - SNVoice 25% square to Polivoks VCF into pentode VCA. Sounds strangely syncish.
Synth 3 - VCO 1 into Wasp filter and then into boring old VCA.
meh."

Yamaha KX-25 Controller Keyboard Overviewed
YouTube via gearwire
"The fairly unassuming look of the Yamaha KX-25 USB Controller Keyboard belies a solid unit with a sophisticated built-in arpeggiator. Being that he'd demo a broom-handle if it had an arpeggiator on it, Bill was more than happy to tear into this dapper controller.
This first clip on the KX-25 features an in-depth look at the arpeggiator, as well as some of the controls that make this the perfect partner for Steinberg Cubase, which, hey guess what, it comes bundled with.
See more on Gearwire.com."

Spectrasonics Omnisphere HQ Demo
YouTube via Stekkkkkk. sent my way via fischek.
"This is a short demo of the brand new virtual instrument "Spectrasonics Omnisphere".
It's really an amazing piece of software.
The sound quality of this VST is the best I've ever heard.
This VST is usefull for every music genre.
It contains everything, from very clear sounding orchestral patches to really dark and intense sounds.
I had to record @ low FPS for performance, but the sound is recorded very good. That's the most important:)
Tech. specs:
Sound in this video is recorded trough an Edirol FA-66
The MIDI keyboard is a M-Audio Oxygen 8
I used FL Studio as host for Omnisphere
NOTE:
This video is just a short demo of some patches.
It just features a quick look at the interface and some patches that Omnisphere came with.
At this time there are a lot of new video's @ YouTube that go in-depth with Omnisphere.
They will give you a better idea of how great this synth actually is.
I'm using it over a month now, and it has become my first-choice VST for making ambient and experimental tracks.

Atari Punk Console... gone wrong
flickr by The Bottomless Paddling Pool(click for mouse overs)
"I'm taking a paper in the first semester coming up on making your own synth from scratch and I thought that I'd better polish up on my electrical knowledge as it's been a while since I've done anything that needed any real effort. As I've never made an audio circuit before I thought I should start simple and progress to the harder stuff. So I decided to start on the popular and simple Atari Punk Console (APC). Anyway, I made it and I was getting sounds from it, but nothing like what I should have been getting. The sounds I was getting sucked, mainly just static mooshed up with high pitched whines. It was bad for the ears, especially as I had the volume up and my headphones on! I eventually found out what was haywire, the chip I was running it off was wrong, as in one letter different in the code from the proper chip. Not a big problem, frustrating at most. I'll make the APC soon and put it in a nice case. I have the neck of a violin that it'll look cool in. The body I'm saving for a bigger project, perhaps a Weird Sound Generator.

Bye!"
