Big City Music to Offer Foltek Instruments

"From somewhere underground in Portland Oregon Arius Blaze and Ben Houston are creating some wildly interesting instruments. The Folktek pieces are truly unique in every way. Each one is hand crafted by the artists and is a one of a kind. Most of their instruments are crafted into beautiful antique boxes too. These are not your typical circuit bent instruments. The way you can "play" them varies tremendously and Folktek offers some alternative user interaction with their pieces. Check back with us as we will get more pieces soon."

"a jasmim, de 2 anos e uns dias, olhou para o sintetizador do pai e pensou... "vou mostrar ao pai que percebo mais disto que ele..." e assim foi!"
Googlish:
"the jasmine of 2 years and a few days, looked at the father's synthesizer and thought ... "I will show that the father understand more what it ..." and it was!"

Sid

via g.

"Here is my late Cat, Sid... he loved hanging out with me when I worked on the synth, and also patch cables were one of his good games ;)

I thought it would be cool to put on your blog!

Sid-Charlot:

Definitely cool, and definitely gets a post. Cats and pets in general are the few things in life that unconditionally have your back, through the good and the bad times. Cheers to Sid.

"I put together Yazoo's Situation. I like this idoitic little song. I play Micromoog, Macintosh plays everything else. Been meaning to do this since I was ten."

Analogue Systems rs290 Crushes Your Bits Too

YouTube via bigcitymusic
"Man. There's not much this module doesn't do. Besides an incredible sounding high-quality stereo digital delay with built LFO and a hard to beat voltage controlled sampler mode, the rs290 can crush your sounds too. This great little trick doesn't even require the unit to be engaged. Just select sample size, reduce, and abuse.

Our sound source is the Elektron SFX-60 Mk II MonoMachine."

Anyone know what synth that is?

Alesis ION per DustySchematics in the comments.

And maybe not. Update via EmptySet int he comments: "I thought at first that was an Ion too… it's color, the red knob on the right, jacks look similar.

However, I have an Ion and just looked at it and the position of all the outputs and inputs looks all wrong in the photo. For example, the MIDI ports on my Ion would appear where the CURIOSITY label is."

Update: I'm pretty sure it's a Micron. I actually have one and took a look. The angle in the images makes it look a bit shorter than it actually is.

"There is one major change to the architecture, as well. Previously, we had only one modulation target per effect. Essentially, you could only use the modulation sequencer of each effect for one parameter. Now, if you note, there is a small slider under each knob, where you can select positive or negative modulation against the current value. This creates a lot more possibilities, we think. The few of you that own Ronin will be familiar with this way of doing things. We also used this method for the LFO in Discord 2."
