How to Make Simple Progressive House Lead
YouTube via VstCafe
"This tutorial shows how to create (with Synapse Toxic II 2.5 vst plugin - btw. it's a killer synth for such low price) a simple, progressive house lead similar to those well known kaskade, dmau leads. As you can see, I didn't use internal delay / reverb unit. I used external - Ableton effects such as reverb, ping pong delay, EQ and compressor (sidechaining) - really nothing special. Probably I'll upload a screenshot somewhere.
If you're interested about music producing, vst instruments, presets - don't forget to check my blog http://vst-cafe.blogspot.com"

The Electronic Peasant Banjo Processor

"The Peasant is a banjo player, and so thought that it would be very interesting to use a banjo to control the analogue synthesizer. A number of years ago a pitch-to-voltage convertor circuit board, designed for guitar use, was purchased from fellow DIY enthusiast Harry Bissell. This pcb only used the bottom three guitar strings to extract the CV output, and so it was decided to expand the board to work with all five strings on the banjo."
You can find more info at The Electronic Peasant. Be sure to see the rest of the site for more.
