LZX Monolith analog modular synth

via this auction

"The LZX Monolith is based on a modified version of the Music From Outer Space Soundlab synthesizer. LZX Industries improved upon the original design by adding features, fine-tuning parts values for maximum performance, and offering the result in an elegant package. This Monolith is fully modular, with nothing hardwired or pre-patched. It features two independent oscillators (with hard sync), an audio mixer, a filter that offers low pass and band pass, a VCA, a voltage mixer with an inverter, an envelope generator that is capable of cycling like an LFO, a very flexible low frequency oscillator, and three sets of multiples. The sound (to my ear) sits somewhere between a Korg MS-20 and a Sequential Circuits Pro One.

The Monolith accepts V/Oct CV and standard trig/gate signals (like most modern modulars, or Roland, Arp, etc.). It draws its power through 12v AC adapter, so it can be used in any country. An AC adapter for US voltage is included."

"I've always liked this song, and, at least for me, it's great practice because I have a tough time playing the bass line and doing anything else with my right hand at the same time. Bass is done on a Nord G2X, drums are from an Alesis SR-16 (pattern is mine), lead is a Kawai K3, Clav and Organ on a Yamaha S90 and the Rhodes is, uh, a Rhodes (1974 Mark 1 Stage). The Rhodes is going through a Tube MP preamp and a Maxon Phase Shifter (mono in, stereo out). The reverb on the Rhodes is a TC Electronics M300.

I wanted to record something a bit tricky and something that would use most of my stuff. It's amazing how much more difficult it is to record alone in a front of a camera than it is to play in front of a bunch of people. This version is certainly not perfect but this was the best of a bunch of tries. Video was done on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3."

Alesis Andromeda A6 (Children of The Night) Ambient

YouTube via thekilon. Before I read the description I thought the beginning sounded like the Blofeld.

I received my Alesis Andromeda A6 a week ago, and managed to take some photos.

The music played is mine and it is called "Children of the Night"

The first 2 minutes made with Yamaha Motif Es6 and Waldorf Blofeld.

The rest is 100% andromeda. The reverb is Ableton live 7.

I hope you enjoy the track."

A stressed theme

YouTube via attorks
"This theme is inspired by an arpeggiator from the Waldorf Q keyboard which I programmed as sequence to be performed by the Q. At first you hear a bass-like sound from the Creamware MiniMax ASB. After that the Synthesizers.com Modular and the self built Modular are added. At last the sequence from the Waldorf Q Keyboard is added. By varying the decay on the Q the sound becomes more lively. The accompaniment is played on the Clavia Nord Lead 1 and the Roland XP-80."
