"Here's an overview of the new PRC5 Wavefolder module.
We use here a simple Triangle wave input - ie something with low harmonics.
This is the upper trace on the oscilloscope - the lower trace is the output waveform from the Positive Output (there is also an inverted output)
There is an internal VCA which drives the Fold section - this can go from fully closed and as we adjust the Folds control you can see the waveform reach a peak of +/-5V and then it starts to fold in on itself - this gives the rich effect of adding harmonics.
The input wave can be offset - both by a manual Offset control, or by a 2nd input with level control.
Folds level is, of course, CV controlled. Four bi-coloured LEDs give an indication of the folding intensity and show the polarity of the waveform when running an LFO into the input."
