"My goodbye to Troy, NY. I wanted to try a few different things with this piece, most noticeably the strong tonal and rhythmic aspects. I also wanted to get away from the 'synth hands' video style, which was greatly helped by the editing finesse of my good friend Monsieur Plague. The deep bass is very important in this piece, please listen on good speakers or headphones if possible.
For the synth nerds: Flame Clockwork drives a Pittsburgh Timetable and Intellijel uStep for the rhythmic aspects. Voices are a SynthTech Cloud Generator, TipTop Z3000, and Livewire AFG, with quantization from a Intellijel uScale.
Retribution Body will be performing in Boston on October 1st!

"The synth goodness: The raspy pulse that runs through the entire track was made with a PWM setting on a Prophet 600 running through an Electro-Harmonix worm pedal set to a slow auto-wah. Also used: Oberheim Matrix-6R, Yamaha TX-802, Roland R-8 for the drums, Moogerfooger MF-104Z Analog Delay, Electro-Harmonix Memory Man Deluxe, and the Crash button on a Vermona Retroverb for the "thunderclap" sound in the middle of the song.
Video goodness: Frames created with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, additional 3D effects via Autodesk 3ds Max, compositing done in Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas"
"Hannah was having a great time with Polychord which is a great iPad application for helping working with chord progressions. She used it connected to Nlog Synthesizer and MoDrum, but also did some bassline work in Arctic Keyes, connected to the D-Pad drum machine! As a bonus, the dog played a bit with Polychord as well."

A sequence played by my DIY sequencer/synth is transposed by a standard PS/2 keyboard. This realized by a change in the software of the arduino ยต-Controller based sequencer Syncuino. MIDI master is a Roland TR-505 drum computer, MIDI slave is the Syncuino.
The Syncuino project is described here: http://chemiker1981.blogspot.com/2011/08/8-transposing-notes-with-ps2-keyboar..."
