via this seller: "Here is a lovely vintage OCTAVE CAT model 1853 analog synthesizer. Unit works fully 100 percent and is in great cosmetic shape. I recently paid 150 dollars to have the unit fully checked out, serviced, cleaned, and re-calibrated by Deltronics here in Chicago. The thing purrs when powered on. All switches, sliders, and knobs work as should, and no issues with rear jacks. I also recently spent about 50 dollars upgrading the knobs to Moog Prodigy style knobs, which in my opinion it looks much better than the original knobs. I also purchased the full schematic for the model 1853 (not easy to find) in a PDF format that I will include for the auction winner. I upgraded the rubber feet and built a new, more sturdy back cover."

via the seller:

"THIS COMBINED SALE also comes with the old Akai S612 sampler we used forever to play simple samples through its filters. The sampler works fine, but one of the level sliders is busted and I never fixed it. Also the MD-20 Quik-Disk unit is "draggy" and could use an overhaul to get it working again. I still have about 8 or 9 intact 2.8" disks which I will toss in since I am getting out of the Akai bizzniss..."
